if it's real, that would be awesome. since i found the pic yesterday online, i'm not sure how authentic it is. i know that GW commissioned a real lifesize working rhino but i hadn't heard anything about this.

As cool as it is, my money's on fake. The details are far too similar to the model for it to be real. And the lighting seems a bit off. Still awesome though. It should go in the warhammer humor thread.

Yep fake - painting uses the usual techniques and the focus (top of engine) is out compared to the background. Is well done though and would be cool!

Great pic. Another reason you can tell its fake is cos its painted like a model and not like a real life vehicle. Good work though.

Its an ok shop job, allthough if they removed all the heavy drybrushing effects from it then it would look better

I know the guy who built that and it is awesome. it uses the Rolls Royce engines from a surplus Harrier and mounts a 50 cal in the nose.

The 'heavy dry brushing' was deliberate to make it look like a GW model, just like the oversized weapons.

In fact it's hovering outside my window now.

Fake because the light is the wrong angle on the model compared to the guy and the car. Nicely done though.

I heard it's part of General Motors restructureing plan, they are gonna try and capture the gamer market by makeing functioning replicas of GW vehicles. The land raider is gonna be the next big thing for the suv market. I'm still not impressed as it only gets 21 mpg on the highway.
