I can't for the life of me find the page in the main rulebook where the ability "Crack Shot" is discussed, I know what the rule does but it is infuriating as in the new IG codex the entry for Pask it doesn't say what crack shot actually does to infantry, unlike in the Eldar codex. I'm staring at the Universal special rules page right now and my mind keeps telling me the rule should be right there behind "Counter-Assault". The rule is also not mentioned in the index.
The other option I suppose is that Pask's "Crack Shot" only affects vehicles and monstrous creatures, which seems unlikely to me.
If any body could please give me the page number, or tell me what is going on, I would be immensely grateful.

I dont remeber "Crack-shot" every becoming a universal rule, but my memory is shot at the moment.

In the eldar codex crack shot removes cover saves, dont know about the others

The eye of terror.

Pasks Crack Shot does indeed only affect monstrous creatures and vehicles.

The Eldar Exarch power is an independent rule unique to them, as Pask's rule is unique to him.

To answer the OP's actual question, Crack Shot is not a USR. It is a rule unique to Pask, and can be found on His Unit Entry in the IG Codex on Page 58.

While it DOES share the same name as an Eldar Special Rule, this is just because GW are a bunch of Illiterate Pillocks who don't read anything other than Codex: SPESS MAHRENZ! so chose the same name "by Accident". They do not share anything with regards to the actual rules effects.

Thanks for the quick responses.
I just assumed it was a USR, a stupid mistake, thank you for clearing it up. What really annoys me that two different rules, though similar, are called the exact same thing. Ah well I suppose this at least means I'm not going blind.

You think that is bad? At least Xenos Races have constant Wargear. The Imperials have Different rules of tons of identical wargear. Storm Shields (3++ vs 4+ In CC), Combat Shields (6+ vs 5+ in CC), Force Weapons (Instant Death vs Slain Outright), Smoke Launchers (Glancing Only vs. 4+ Save) to name a few :(

I love it when people say that!

Tell me, oh paragon of Wisdom, for what reason do Citadel Sell Miniatures? Why, to play a game, with rules! Shock and Horror! Could it be that perhaps the Rules are the sole reason people buy the Minis? Why, yes! It is! If they Keep up this trend of poorer and poorer written rules, we will soon see them not selling any miniatures!

Erm, Gwar! - the game was created second, the miniatures were around long before. Essentially it was a way to use the cool stuff they were producing outside of the odd D&D mini.

This attitude still seems to prevail, especially with the "just make up what you want, when you want" and "its not meant for tournaments" comments you get....

Yeah but what GWAR! is getting at is that there have been a dozen or more miniatures companies in the last ten years, all of which selling cheaper than GW for roughly comparable quality, and only a couple are still around today.

Although GW is a miniatures company, the GAME is what creates new demand. I know lots of people who quit playing WH40k because "the rules suck/are unbalanced/my favorite race is terrible". Although better rules may or may not increase demand, worse rules certainly doesn't increase, and probably reduces, the number of people buying models.

Gwar, you're being rude and condescending. How is your post NOT antagonistic?

You've been warned before; shape up or you'll get even more downtime from Dakka.

And, for the record, Games Workshop sells miniatures to make money, not so we can play a game.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

I am not intending to be antagonistic, I was intending to be humorous and Lighthearted. The fact is though without the rules they would not sell any minis.

The history of GW is a long and byzantine one, that doesn't involve sock puppets, despite what you've heard.

In that vein lets move this back on topic or it will be closed.

Don't rush into a Dark Eldar army then, we get a special rule called "Skimmer" which has nothing to do with skimmers, and "Feel No Pain" which is in no way related to "Feel No Pain"

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).
