There are some pink horrors that will show soonish that are like that too... those old designers didn't have the restraint our current GW has!

That is because shooting the bird, picking your nose, scratching your ass, etc is not considered GW kid friendly.

Still debating whether the next 10 (they are 10 smaller old blue horror models) will need a different colour. It's been a long time since you actually needed blue horror models I might just paint them the same.

Almost done with the first 10+Command:


Need to make the hands of the non-command one blue though, doesn't feel right otherwise. I'm fine wit the command being different.

You know you could still paint the blue horrors blue. Just do them like the pink but in reverse. blue body and pink hands.

Ye, I was planning on trying it out on one. Since they're metal they are easy to strip if I don't like how the unit turns out with the different colours.

Didn't have much time last weekend to paint. Today was more productive!


Just need to finish basing and they're done (barring corrections).

Next up will be the Warhound because I have an Escalation-allowed tournament coming up and my Sisters need some heavy support!

Spent some time cleaning, greenstuffing and sanding the Warhound. The old Armourcast stuff has a lot of bubbles/jaggies in hard to reach places. Now hardening, then it's off to be primed.

Been busy with the Warhound Scout Titan:


Was surprised it was copyrighted in '89. Time flies! The shin guards are going to be the same colour as the carapace. Not sure what to do with the toes yet. Also, despite a lot of sanding/grinding I spotted a mold-line... ugh.

I will have to try my hand at some freehand Sisters symbols too.. not my forte to be sure!

Next up, my Imperial Kni.. err Sister.

Currently working on the Imperial Knight, not really at a point yet where I can post pictures.

I magnetised the torso and legs to take it apart. The arms can be 'screwed' on in any case. I have magnetised the battle-cannon and inferno cannon as well, by using the blast shields with magnets to connect to the gun housing.

I would like to see pics of all the magnet work.

Looking forward to seeing a sisters themed knight, still more than a little jealous that I can't ally them into my army when there's great ones popping up everywhere.

Eldar titan should be fun one of the chaps in my apoc group has that one and the arms seem to be easily magnetised, midgame eldar titan arm dancing ensues often when someones being slow.

Didn't have much time to paint the knight, but I'm going for a similar scheme as my Warhound.

Will post pictures of the magnetising when it's more assembled.

Those old Armourcast Titans are very easy to pose the arms, because they're attached with bolts.

Well hell maybe it is bolts then I never thought to look inside the arms that's what I get for assuming the arms could wiggle because of the magic of magnets eh.

The work so far:


Torso, carapace, arms, weapons, legs are all separate, not glued yet. Shoulderpads too (but will eventually be glued).

I glued a small piece of plasticard tubing to the leg mount:

and filled it with greenstuff and glued a magnet in.

Then I glued a similar piece of (bigger) tube to the inside of the torso where the hole is for the leg section:


It can swivel freely and holds the weight of the legs and base easily.

The weapon mount was more involved:

I filled the gap between the weapon shields and the arm bit with a big gob of greenstuff. When it hardened I drilled 2 holes and glued a magnet into each.

I did the same with the weapons themselves:


I didn't magnetise all the fiddly extra bits for the weapon arm, though.

Easy to swap between battle cannon and melta cannon now:



The arms can rotate as well to detach em.

I still have another Wraithknight lying around I bought with a whole load of coupons I had (plus assorted other things). But I think I'll go finish my last Tzeentch unit first!

Wow someone's speedy at painting, magnetisation is spot on, who needs the fiddly bits it looks perfect as is.

Have been very busy with (not-painting) work...

Still, I did manage to finish the horrors. Will post a picture when I get the chance.

I still had a 2nd Wraithknight about that I bought cheaply some time ago. Since I still haven't been able to track down another squad of daemonettes I'm going to finish it first.

Why? Well I have a tournament next week and I painted the Wraithknight for it but found out I didn't have enough bikes painted for the list I wanted.

Still had some metal jetbikes unassembled/unpainted around so I'm painting 3 more so I have 3 squads of 6 metal bikes.

Finished the jetbikes, now have 3 squads of 6:


Next up: 20 daemonettes
Haven't been able to get 20 of the really old ones so this first squad'll have to do.

After that I have 20 old metal seekers to do, so plenty of time yet!
