Hello i play in weekly 1500 point competitive tournaments and was wondering if i could have some help with my army list.( I will be playing mainly orks and ig)

Daemon Prince Wings, Wind of Chaos 150pts
Elites 5 Terminators Heavy Flamer 3 combi flamers one reaper autocannon 195Pts
Troops
1x 10 Khorne bezerkers (Rhino Havoc Launcher) 260 pts
1x 10 csm 2 melta guns (Rhino havoc Launcher) 220 pts
1x 10 csm 2 flamers 160 pts
Heavy Support
Basic Defiler 150pts
Predator side lasscannons havoc launcher 145 pts
Vindicator 125 pts
Land Raider(dedicated transport) 220pts
1490 pts
I also have 14 khorne bezerkers, 8 thousand sons 1 aspiring sorceror, One chaos Lord terminator armor,

I say take off all the havoc launchers. Those are basically wasted points. I would also switch out the vindicator for another defiler. Two is really annoying and intimidating. Give the prince a mark, nurgle would be the best. It'll make him really hard to kill.

No, that's where you're wrong. A CSM squad with an IoCG will always pass. CSM squads are much hated, though I can EASILY take out a squad of cult marines of the same price as a regular CSM squad. I remember assaulting a squad of 8 khorne berzerkers. I charged with my squad of regular CSM. I outnumbered him, and even with his uber WS and such, I ripped the squad of part and took out 4 others from another squad. All with 12 marines.

Amen! I post this in nearly every Chaos army list I try to help out. Regular CSM are great for what they are. The more bodies you have, the higher your chance of winning is, plain and simple. That also means more shots and more special weapons which is never a bad thing.

Definitely agree with the power of the standard CSM ^

1. Havoc Launchers are pretty great. What happens to your transport after it unloads the squad? It's usually ignored. So why not give it a blast weapon for 15pts that makes it still useful and still scary (this thing massacres orks and the like). Either way, it adds more targets to your opponent's radar.

2. I'd be careful about using berzerkers. If they get the charge they an carve through anything, but they're too easy to be shot to death before killing anything because of their total lack of ranged power. Again, regular CSM will not let you down here.

3. Definitely dump the havoc launcher on your predator. It's a tank hunter with an anti-horde blast weapon that has to be shot at the tank you fire your lascannons at.

4. Shaving off that havoc launcher and the reaper on the termies should give you the points to get a rhino for the other CSM squad (flamer squad) which you'll need. The rest of your army is very fast and I wouldn't want to leave this squad behind.

Also, try to find some points for daemonic possession for the vindicator. You need that gun firing as much as possible.

Strong list overall though. Just refine it a bit.

I'd say it needs to have everything Mech'd. I would drop the Land raider and swap that for Oblits and drop the defiler. Switch Give the CSM squad a Rhino and run the CSM as Melta/Flamer. The terminators can just deep strike.

Instead of the defiler run a Chaos Dread with a Multi-Melta and just make sure to point him away from you army *(he can't pivot and shoot, so its a 45* angle from the gun)

Are you saying that as long as the Dread is facing away from friendly units, they aren't considered to be in line of sight so it won't shoot them? Is that true?

Are you saying that as long as the Dread is facing away from friendly units, they aren't considered to be in line of sight so it won't shoot them? Is that true?

how about the codex says otherwise! 1 fire frenzy...At the beginning of the Shooting phase IT MUST PIVOT ON THE SPOT towards the closestvisible unit...

i don't even know why that would show up in a faq. read your codex.

well back to the army list, i would remove the havoc launcher from the predator since you'll be using it to shoot at tanks mostly anyway

also, i'd suggest taking off the reaper autocannon from the terminators, since you already have all those combi-weapons and a flamer the autocannon just makes the squad too point heavy
