What major space marine armies do you own?

I own a full salamanders army from some Armageddon deal (3d edition). All infantry assembled with a base coat of paint and the predator sprayed green too... rhino and land raider unassembled. The plastic wrap is still on the landraider box. Played about 6 Combat Patrols vs. my bro's Alaitoc Eldar and now steadly slip in these models (along with the 5 or so necrons I have) for Cyberpunk 203x.

I have an American army! lol I pianted american flags and put American flags on the banners of my army I get a lot of people looking at my stuff however I don't paint the full 50 stars on the flag i just put random dots that look ok and tell people who ask that "oh the stars count as how many planets there are now" hahaha =]

Did some as "major" space marine army:

- Black Templars
- Salamanders
- Raven Guard
- Iron Hands
- (space wolves)

and some as "minor" ??
based on:
+ Dark Angels
+ White Scars ( 5th ed )
+ Codex 4th ed ( traits )
+ Codex 3rd ed

Still, the marines from codex 3rd ed have the numbers on their side in comparision...

So, if major means "following official schemes and only using the chapter with the name of the former Legion/40k codex",
then I say 4 space marine armies.

I don't own ANY of GW's named SM armies.

My SM army is modelled on my other hobby - the 501st, and certain characters are modelled up as fellow members.

I've never really liked any of the chapters - but then I still prefer the mindwiped and reprogrammed psychotic berserkers over the knightly crusading orders.

Ultramarines - First army I ever got.

Black Tempalrs - Still under construction, and not actually a Black Templar army, just uses them as the archetype. It's DIY Black Templars really, representing a coalition of three Chapters (Golden Lions, Iron Knights, Storm Riders).

Deathwatch - Yes, an army with no rules, yet I have a complete Deathwatch army.

Imperial Fists all the way. I started Dark Angels, but they are just to bland. I love the way the Fists look on the table, yellow against the green board is worth the hours to paint them. I wish I had it in me to do another chapter, but I just don't think I could do it and do 'nids, which I can't wait to see in Jan.

I like most of the fluff for them as a chapter, as they represent my own stubbornness and tenacity.

Imperial fists too. The bright yellow chapter is amazing. The thing I really like is how they look on the table top. So many people have dark colored armies they really contrast.

Blood Angels currently, though I have collected Ultramarines in the past (as my first 40k army).

Originally I had a tac squad painted as Ultramarines and some termies painted as BTs. I repainted the tac squad as Imperial Fists (though they look aweful). I then painted all my other marines as Blood Ravens.

Gordo Phreshmex, a guy at my FLGS has a pretty reasonable amount of Rainbow Warriors.

I want something yellow, maybe fists, maybe howling griffons.

I collect no-codex because I think that space marines are awesome, but there are too many ultrasmurf players, so I went for non-codex to distance myself
