So while in a game erlier after my FW Chaos dragon got face pwnt, we realized how horrid the rules for it had become with the change of other rules... mainly the fact that its Daemonic Aura only gives it a ward save against non magical attacks.... would any of you find it a problem to change this to a Ward save made against all attacks such as the current Daemonic Rules? I personally think this better since current FW rules for it are ""experimental" and for 960 points I prefer not dieing to bloodthirsters Heres a link to the current Chaos Dragon Rules... http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/pdf/dragchaos.pdf

Let me know what you think about this and if its a fair/resonable change!

Why not use Galaurch's rule?

In the Webway.

I do think thats not as good for 960pts. I think it should have a 2+ save and 4+ inv and better breath attacks.

Yeah, you're paying too much for that (Points-wise, I mean. It's a fantastic model)

The only reason I dont use him as Galrauch is its size... Youve seen the base for it right? Its just far too big to use as galrauch... although I will admit it does look alot more like him. On occasion I might use him as Galrauch but not likely.

So if I changed it to 2+ scaly skin and a 4+ ward save (against everything... not just non magical). Then maybe give it Breath of change(the special Galrauch breath)?

Breath Attacks: Galrauch's heads can use either of the normal Chaos Dragon breath attacks (see page 55). Once per battle, one of his heads can use the Breath of Change - the other head cannot use breath weapons at all in the shooting phase. Models hit by the Breath of Change must pass a Toughness test or be overwhelmed by horrible mutations - remove such models from play.

That was strait from Galrauch's rules. So what if I let it do that? Switched its saves as said before, then possibly made it Stubborn (as for some reason, I dont see a dragon of this size and type loosing moral... at all)? Would that sound reasonable to everyone?
