Hi, I haven't put anything up here before, but I have spent time looking through loads of other threads. I have been thinking about an IG army based around an inquisitor theme, but I don’t want to go down the route of the slightly silly long hair madmen look, or the medieval theme that I have seen around. Instead I have tried to make the minis look like elite guardsmen, hand picked by the inquisitor, all very similar in uniform and equipment. Please bear in mind that my minis are still wip and need their final highlights and tidy up.
My inquisitor - Although i may use this mini as a stand in comi

I have got a few troops done, and will try to get the pics up in asap.

Want a honest opinion? I play both Games Workshop and Privateer press games. Yes GW has done goofed. But until I -stop- enjoying building, painting and playing their product. I will shamelessly buy from them. Privateer Press has created a wonderful steampunk setting. Has just as enjoyable models, is cheaper and is as fun to play with! |

Thanks for all the comments, i have got a few more wip pics now, as before they still need highlights etc.
I have also just bought some forgeworld bits for this army inc the Inquisitor Rex mini, which is a beautifal mini, i just hope i can do it justice, also bought more resp heads so most of the army will have them, the ones that dont, will have vet/com spur heads and the heads from gws IG bitz.
also got a test or two for my storm troopers rifles, what do you think?
Some of the troops
Automatically Appended Next Post: I have also got a few pics of the tech serv/vox caster and the servo skull/body guard stand ins. Again still WIP.
im going to finish of my Tech priest today if i get a chance and then start the Storm tooper srgt, also think i might rebase the inquisitor at some point. Automatically Appended Next Post: In answer to Holy~Heretic That storm trooper sarge looks fantastic!
Are you thinking of using Inq models to count as commisars?
Yes, i am thinking of using the Lok figure as an comi, why would a Inq army need comi's? Althought, there are some very good looking comi minis around, which would match in with the look im going for i spoze.
What do you rekon?

There is no such thing as "overkill", just a redundant affirmation of fire superiority. |

Ya, i did use the forge world ELYSIAN heads, its easy, effective and i think it looks good with the armour mods and the rifles. i have green stuffed faces and heads before but it takes too long to do a squad, i only GS character faces or heads.

That Heavy Bolter team is great. I like the =I= symbol on the hand gaurd of the Vet Srgt, too. I gotta tell ya, though. I was really expecting the troop with running the ammo case to be looking where his gun is pointing. Sort of a running and shooting pose. I still like that figure a lot.
Nice work, over all, and really good paint work.

I have been building this army mostly unit by unit, i do have an idea of where im going with it tho:
-HQ-
Inq Rex as Commander
Tech Serv as Vox
Vet Medic
Vet Flamers x2
Psyker
Fleet officer
Tech priest
2 servo skulls as body guards
Inq Lok as Comi? or start of 2nd command squad
-Troops-
-Vet Squad 1-
Srgt
Vox
Sniper
Plasma
Nade launcher
Heavy Bolter
-Vet Squad 2-
Srgt
Vox
Sniper
Flamer
Melta
Rocket launcher
-Storm troopers squad-
Srgt
Vox
Melta
Plasma
As for the extended barrels, i just use wire or plastic rod.

As for transport, im thinking Chimeras for the troops, Vendetta for the storm troopers and a converted rhino/chimera/MACHARIUS for the Command squad or something like that. Im also thinking of a warhound for fire support. Automatically Appended Next Post: I use a mix of basing gravel, slate, plastic rod, and other bits of cut plastic to represent rubble.
