Yes, but only because I want Chaos back in one big tome as a combined army again gosh darn it.

I think its not so bad in fantasy, it works much better then in 40k, kind of makes more sense as well. Although i think it would be nice for chaos players if they lists were compiled into one gaint book so they had the option of running an all deamon army or a chaos warriors army. or the classic mix of both.

Daemons aren't bad as far as fluff goes, but they're annoyingly cheesy. I don't want them gone, I just want a more balanced army book.

I think Fantasy and 40K would be better off without a Daemons book. Talk about "Codex: Unnecessary".

Warrior of Chaos + Demon of Chaos + Beastmen

I voted no. I think the fluff is a vital part of WFB. Is it necessary? I think so. Is there book OP? Ummm yea, but not to the point that it should be removed. I would like to see rules in the book however, that allow you to combine the chaos forces.

Oh yes i forgot the allied option! I like that as well.

Historically, every other release of the Chaos army books in WHFB has seen a flip flop on the ability to field combined daemon/mortal armies.

The only real difference is that the three sections of Chaos are being published in separate books instead of all in one.

Personally I think ranked units of demons is stupid but on the other kind of cool if you think about it. I mean RANKS. Of DEMONS. COOL.

I like the idea of the chaos gods amassing an army to crush things. It makes sense, too, that they are ridiculously overpowered compared to some lists... they are demons after all.

I think I would hate it, though, if that's all I had to play against. It would be a great learning curve, on the other hand. I mean, if you can beat... or almost beat demons, then you could probably beat anything else... right?

Wrong. The reason Demons are so deadly is that every trick to beat other armies does not work against them. Thus a list designed to beat demons is rather highly specialized.

I do agree with the warriors and the deamons of chaos being combined, but not the beastmen. They make sense by themselves and they deserve their own codex, they aren't even chaos anymore.

No, because they have enough models that they deserve their own country. It would also ruin the Lizardmen fluff. It was solely daemons, not Chaos Warriors, that ruined their lives.

I'm tired of this kind of crap. Demons are the reason I got into GW games. The models are awesome. Their unique style of play for 40k is one of the big reasons I came out of my hiatus. They are definitely not overpowered in 40k and if they are in fantasy, then ask for a tweak, not an army ban.

Deamons of chaos are way too abusible. As a person at my FLGS demonstrated. "Hello, here's my tzeentch army pet by a bloodthirster with obsidian armour. 12 magic levels and half a dozen flamers plus a near unkillable monster flies about."

For fantasy, I really dont care. I dont play fantasy, but in all honesty, Demons make sense in a fantasy setting. I think they should be toned down, or cost more points or something, because Ive heard they are WAY over powered.

BUT for 40k, I hate demons on their own. Infact I hate demons in 40k period. This is future fantasy, not future uh...wait we need to throw something in the mix, I know DEMONS! That doesnt make any damn sense to me. Special characters or demon princes maybe, because of fluff and such, but an entire army? really? Thats just lame.

While I think Daemons are over powered in many ways in fantasy, I dont think that Warhammer Fantasy Battle would be better without them. I guess its partially the way the question is wordered and partially me taking it a bit farther than meant to be. With or without Daemons, WHFB is the exact same, not better, not worse, it will be the same as it was when we didnt have them in 7th Ed. However I think in terms of playing against daemons it would benefit greatly if their constant denying of major rules (that are a HUGE part of fantasy), were non existant. Its possible to beat for sure, but they have to many "rule breaking" rules that makes the game really unfun for the other opponent. So I dont think WHFB would be better without them, but rather their OTT rules whilst playing against them.

I aspire to own a full-on raging Daemons army if I ever restart WFB.

Well I dont know how you can say no and own and not own them? I assume you meant those who say yes/maybe don't own them... But you wrong, I dont own them and I voted that it would not be better... Like I said before, the game will be exactly the same with or without them, its just that their rules need to be adjusted so that when playing them they don't come across as extremely over powered to everything but a few armies... Not everyone who doesnt own daemons will say to hell with them...

Daemons in WHFB are like the developers said "you know what? Everybody should play nothing but this book!"

It's Soooo very broken. Every time I pick it up or play against it I find yet another annoyingly great thing about them.

No, most new books have a few weeks (months?) of seeming invulnerability but then it wears off when people figure out the Achilles Heel. Daemons have been out for a good long while and are still broken as HELL in WHFB.

Im sure I would want chaos all together in one book if I played WHFB. Im certain i want them back as one in 40k
