It's an OttLite model #T8637T. It was a hand-me-down from a friend, and I'm still getting used to it, TBH. Prior to that, I was just using an adjustable desklamp with 75W incandescent bulb. I like lots of light, so I also have a fluorescent shoplight right above my bench, too.

I worked on objective markers today, I have what I think are Forge World objective markers, I think they were intended for city fight, I never finished them so now I am going to get them ready. I'll post pictures later. One is like a command console of screens, and such, another is a generator, an ammo dump, an Imperial Aquila, one appears to be a viewing scope that could be a remote camera or a periscope from an underground bunker. the sixth one is one I made, it is supposed to be a machine spirit device with the corpse of a Space Marine still gripping a carry handle on it. He has spent casings around him, a massive hole in his chest from a projectile weapon, and his discarded helmet, Boltgun still clenched in his other fist.
So I'm happy with the bits, now to paint them.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of the women.

Bought some thin magnetic sheet for a daft idea about switching minis between skirmish and unit bases. Not sure if it's strong enough, but we'll see.

Couldn't sleep so got out my fist full of Kung fu book and made up a police force. The game seems like a lot of fun with some pretty I depth character creation for a wargame.

There's a reason the woman/android from Metropolis was named Maria. I saw an updated more killy version of the Metropolis robot and had to have her.

Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

UK

I've been painting up some Enforcers in a clean, sci-fi sort of style with the dual purpose of having another strike team for DZ and maybe proxying as some MI when I get around to testing Infinity. The style is a complete departure from anything I've done before (Pan-O blue and grey, and nary a black wash in sight!) but I think I'm getting the hang of it.

On a side note, any infinity players have an idea what unit I could use Enforcers for in PanO and Nomad lists? I'm thinking ORC or Sikh Commando for PanO, maybe a Mobile Brigade for Nomads, but if anyone had another idea I'd love to hear it. This is just for practice/starter games to get a grip on the rules before I get Icestorm, so I'm not overly worried about effectiveness.

I think you picked the right units. Enforcers definitely fit the bill for heavy infantry. I think I'd use space marines for Pan-O's military orders stuff though, fully power armored knights with machine guns and giant swords, fairly synergistic with space marines

Having looked a little more, I've thrown together a couple of lists to get me started.

PanO:

2 Fusiliers with Combirifle
1 Fusilier Lt
3 Alakis Commandos with Combirifle
Nisse with Sniper

Nomads:

2 Alguaciles with Combirifle
Alguacile Lt
2 Intruders with Combirifle
1 Spektr
1 Mobile Brigada

Both clock in around 140 and should be easy to do with the minis I have. Enforcers for MI, Peacekeeper for HI, Guardsmen/Corp Marines for LI. Now to get them painted up and get going!

Are the Alkalis sihk commandos all drop trrops? May mess you up having 3 dudes that start 'in reserve'

True, they are. Do the rules require them to start in reserve, though? In a quick look through, I didn't see anything like that. To be honest, I could just ignore it if that is the case, the aim is just to get a grip on the core rules.

Let me look none oof mmy models have AD but the wiki knows.

You may choose to deploy normally though you'll be 'wasting' the points then cost for the AD skill. The reason to potentially not do it with all of them is you don't get their order if they're off the table.

Just checked, it says you can deploy normally or air drop, so I'll maybe drop one to see how it goes and he the others as normal. Cheers for checking, though. I'm not fussed about 'wasting' the points for now, I'll be playing myself most likely, and like I say, it's more to learn the rules than anything.

On a side note, I think it's great that the full rules are available in colour with pics online, between that and the free Army Builder, CB seem to be a company that really is there for the players, which is awesome!

Ouch! Happened to me the other day as well, but in fairness mine was nowhere near sorted so there was no real loss.
