So everything deepstrikes as before. Tervigon in reserve to take the home objective which he's pretty awesome at doing along with his spawns to guard.

I took out stealers for terms with devourers. 45 shots against toughness 4 is 3/4 dead marines on average plus they need to make a leadership test at -1. Everything pretty much in this list deals damage the moment it hits the board. Also a lot of targets for the opponent to worry about. Doom in all my tests is a total must in a Nid list.

Even the spores deal hurt. In the last two tests one killed a Necron lord on one wound, and in the game before one wrecked a Predator . Plus they are good for dropping on objectives, blocking enemy advancement and providing cover.

The only thing i worry about is CC as most of my list is shooty. Also playing against other reserve armies and going first isnt an easy ride.

As always comments are welcome, so far my tests with this lists have been good, ok, ive only played 2 games but i havent lost yet.

Thanks all,

LF

How do you put the Tervigon in reserve?

Any unit can start in reserve unless otherwise specified. It doesn't sound like he is deep-striking with the Tervigon.

That's correct, any unit can start in reserve. Tervigon starts in reserve, all else deep strikes, works nicley to sit on your home objective, just then need to concentrate on contesting the others.

Looks pretty solid going for a short range shooty force I do have 2 main concerns. In your attack you only have 2 mCs if they7 arrive on different turns the enemy may well be able to deal with each one fairly easily. The other concern is that there is no Hive Commander so your army will turn up in nice bite sized chunks for the enemy to dismantle.

With your previous list you siad with Hive Commander working you had an awesome list without it your list failed badly and I'd say the same for any Ninja Nid list. Unless you can get 2/3 of your army out on the turn you arrive (with almost everything arriving the following turn) you will simply be too easy to deal with.

Other than that I like it. The Ninja Tervigon is ideal for own objective camping whilst everything else is a threat the minute it hits the board. Plenty of Synapse too. The only issue is the Tervigon is essentially useless in annihilation.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

Some very fair comments indeed, yes, this list needs Hive Commander to be completely effective. The only place I can see that I can cut points from is reducing the Trygon Prime to a Trygon.

I like the Tervigon, he does his job well.

Also, I learnt today that Spores aren't treated like SM pods, in that they can attack the first tuen they come down which is an added bonus.

Er, deep strike list and no hive commander? Are you mad? Other than that nice setup on the hive tyrant, same as mine

Aye, myceptic spores are not vehicles. They're living things.

Also devourers on the gants? You really really want to pay 10 points per one? Honestly?

Yeah, the Trygon needs to drop to a standard Trygon to fit in Hive Commander. It will go in the list as soon as GW confirms it works while the Tyrant is in reserve.

Spores are awesome in so many ways

15 Termagants with devourers at 10 points each gives you 45 shots as mentioned above. that's converting to 22.5 hits on average. This converts to 11.25 wounds. This converts to 3 to dead marines as soon as they hit the board. Average squad size of marines is 10. Thats an instant LD check at -1 on top of the kills.

That's against toughness 4, against eldar or say Tau I would do even more wounds.

Basically, If you dont deal with them your going to have a dead squad of marines in 2 turns. I think they are worth it and prefer taking them to Stealers or Horms.

I also get a pod with them. I can place them where ever I want on the table.

I wasn't impressed with the 12 shot trygon prime attack since it is bs3 and not twin-linked.

Yeah, I have mixed success with his 12 shots, more often than not i'd be lucky to kill a single marine, although I have landed him behind tanks on a few occassions causing some serious damage in the process.

For this list to work it needs Hive Commander, the only way I see me squeezing that in is to reduce him to a standard Trygon :(

TBH I've seen a standard trygon do ok, I use two of them and use them to pop weak rear or side armour.

Make the trygon a standard a trygon and you'll be ok.
