Did some segmented old looking pads, all rough and rivets.







Also, old themed studded shoulderpads, without rim and slightly larger studs and with rim with smaller studs for that ancient look.










Something for the Excorcist players by request or if you want to make a Librarian or just skull and horn themed loyalist or traitor armies:
The terminator sized has the skull placed on a pentagram for a cool looking background and the horns are actually curved the opposite way when seen from above (not seen in my crap pictures) so they dont look like bagels, crappy pictures I know, sorry.











And did a pad also by request from a lot of Dark Angel and DeathWing players:
Three arches, one with a sword, one with a robed dude holding a bolter and one with a robed winged-angel holding a sword.

I´ll even use those on a Salamanders terminator squad myself, why let the DAs have all the fun when proper colour schemes can do wonders

I've been wondering how to do (in our homebrew fluff) the Cleansed and Pure Exorcist squads, ones who are completely free from Daemonic taint and the most effective anti-Daemon fighters this side of Saturn. Nah... Well, what kind of weapons were you referring to, any pics or links of concepts?
And you realize that having a big sword will still mean you need to cut of the hammer and replace it and the work that will take will scare 9 out of 10 people of.

Hmm, the bolter angel was in fact my favorite, looks very 40k-ish.
Having the angels kneel would mean they need to be made in much smaller scale as a roughly proportional figure still needs to be squeezed in the same tight arch and besides even if I could pull that of the high arches would only be filled at the bottom, the upper parts would be empty and boring since the figure would be kneeling.

Excellent idea, I will do that along with "maybe" one more horned skull pad without a raised rim to it. But first things first.

Well, actually the secret is to finding stuff to do that you really like yourself and the work becomes much less "work" and more of a hobby and thus you´ll automatically spend more time with it.
Its pretty nice to turn on a couple of movies and sit in a sofa with gf sculpting and painting stuff you like to the movies.

Yes the design is 100% original as far as I´m concerned as I thought and drew it up myself while watching tv.
It started with the arched powerarmour pad I did ages back, I wanted somethng beefier in the same style for termie sized minis as well.

And they are on their way, pace is out of my hands now, instead, please nag Nick to death about pushing them out fast to the caster.

If enough demand is there I might redo it without a sword and with a row of skulls instead. Swords are fairly generic but skulls are even more so I figure.

I know the feeling, GW and our chapterhouse xenomorph heads made me want to start a nid "aliens" army but I havent even got one single nid so far.
That and my SM, orks and GKs are all unfinished.

Those are some great looking pads, especially the deathwing ones at the end.

Maybe have it set up so that the blades can actually be attached to the Thunderhammer's haft replacing the hammer head?

As for the Bolter Angel....I didn't even realize it was an angel. I thought it was a bolter in front of flames. It seems too busy to me, if that's what it is. Plus, the bolter might get Chapterhouse in trouble given that it's an easily recognizable symbol. Maybe have the two angels reaching for the blade in the center?

As for the winged shoulderpad...
I can't find any really good reference photos. I'll try doing a concept sketch later, but I'm a *terrible* artist. If this helps any:
Think of the standard shoulderpad as it stands. But then have the wing flaring back and the pad rounded off instead of the normal bit that hangs down.
