I've just put together this concept model and wondered what everybody thought. It's an attempt to make a plastic Warp Spider from the Dire Avenger and Necron Warrior sets:





Basically it's a standard Avenger with a cut and shunt on his catapult with a gauss gun. His back was cut down a touch and a scarab fits neatly as the jump generator. I've realised that I need to trim the shuriken ammo off the tabard, and I'm not sold on the head (I want to try and find the War Walker pilot helmet from my bits box and see if that looks any better). As a concept, what do people think?

This is great usage of the two kits, I like the scrab on the back .

While the overall idea is good, the Scarab and the gun are too recognizably Necron, who are not the acme of warp-technology.

Nice work on the gun IMHO.
Scarab is too recognisable as a scarb though.

I was thinking the plastic stealth suits from the Tau range would be a good base for something like this

Fantastic idea. While the scarab might be recognizable right now, I think you could easily add a few "fins" to camaflage it. By fins, I'm talking about the two pieces that are added to the guardians' back. Add four of those, spreading out to the sides, and you're golden.
