Well all tyranids fans, I have aquestion I have been struggling over for a little while. So guys here we go, how do you paint a tyranid army with all the units looking awesome, rather than a few great units and a few rubbish units? It's just that most colour schemes don't work with all units (annoyingly!)!

Welcome to dak dak¡ Have you thought about having just a main color run through your army that looks good on them and paint the secondary colors a different one? That is what i did with my 1k sons with the main color being regal blue and then a bunch of different secondary colors that look good on the aspiring sorcerers.

Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, its just a freight train coming your way!
Thousand Sons 10000
Grey knights 3000
Sisters of battle 3000

My daughter has the purple and bone army that looks very good, never mind the pain shr inflicts upon her opponents’.

I hate purple.

Welcome to Dakka Dakka!

Take a look around, and you'll see some sections of the forum will be a lot more appropriate to post these types of question in!

You'll generate a lot more answers there rather than here - which is basically the Introductions forum for new users.

Basically, if Vindicator#9 can't answer your question, you might be out of luck asking it in here!

Welcome to Dakka Dakka
Probably from a lot of practice and not trying to do a large group all at once, but multiple small groups of 5-10.

For their bodies I perosnally prefer Spraying them white followed by a couple of washes of Gryphonne Sepia. Works a treat, try it out on something before you commit but I think you'll be happy with the effect.

I have seen that paint on tyranids as you describe. It is a very nice starting point.

"I drive a big car, cuz I'm a big star. I'll make a big rock-and-roll hit." "I am a big car, and I'm a strip bar. Some call it fake, I call it good-as-it-gets."

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

Yes the gryphonne sepia wash works a treat after a white spray, I used it on some deathwing termies!
