Guard Heavy Weapon Crewman

Hey everyone, I've been thinking about creating an Empire army and am getting to think about how I don't really like some of the appearences.
So I found a website that did historical miniatures that I thought looked great and would fit the Empire quite well.
Seeing as I am no expert, I would very much appreciate some opinions on the new looks.

Okay, we have handgunners and halberdiers covered, as well as cannon crew. Do they have anything to cover spearmen, sword (and shield) men, and greatswords? What about cavalry?

I've taken these things into account and have gone for a few different models, as for the greatsword option, I like them just as they are.

Not a big fan of the current Empire range my self the late 3rd edition early 4th edition metals by the Perry Twins (IRC) were top notch, a lot of them can pass for historical miniatures rather than exaggerated fantasy ones.
I am not sure about the red coats you posted they are technology and fashion wise about 200 years ahead of the Empire, who are based around late 15th early 16th century Germans.
Ranges that would be more in keeping with the Empires image would be German landsknechts and probably early Renascence Swiss, both quite popular in historical wargaming so there should be quite easy to find. The wargamesfoundry.com seams a good place to start for historical stuff.
But it all comes down to personal taste, you could use the red coats and make an Empire army from the future!

Yeah, I've been thinking about that too but I'm just going to forget the whole red coat concept and just say they're a posher, more elite form of Empire troops chosen from less advanced armies.

I do empire myself and must say those spearmen and swordsmen are way over armoured for what they're equiped with in thier army book (light armour, shields at 1pt per model).
But yes those models do look better. Where did you get them from?

I got them from www.frontrank.com bearing in mind that the images I have posted are from the website. I am unable to post my own.
