Like the title says, what great things or simply absurd things have happened during battle?
I'll start it off, my Termagants killed off Abbadon The Despoiler in one turn!

I once had a single Grey Hunter (The old kind) survive 8 Rounds of Combat with a Unit of Flayed ones before Killing them and consolidating onto the objective for the win

Cool.

(4th ed) A single remaining Space Marine Veteran held off 11 Necrons long enough to force a Phase out in a Kill Team Mission.

(4th ed Marines, 5th ed Rules) A 5 man squad of CC Scouts killed a 6 man squad of CSM and a Sorceror in 3 turns, winning me the game


(4th ed) Space Marine Captain fails 3 armor saves but makes the bionics save. Goes on to kill 2 LRBT. Dies to a Las pistol shot

It took about 4 turns for my Hive Guard to blow up a rhino.

A whole unit of Dire Avengers assaulted two marines that I had in ruins. They only hit me three times and wounded me once, which I promptly saved. My marines then proceeded to pistol whip one in the face and I sweeping advanced them to death.

Another time I had a unit of 12 Slugga boyz dakka a carnifex to death. It was a glorious day in ork history!

Slugga boyz? Are they supposed to have BS 2? That is amazing.

I had all my units fire at a Daemon Prince got it to 1 wound, shot at it with a Squad of Veteran Guardsmen, all shots but 1 wounded... he failed the invul save

Well... it's not so much an achievement but when my jetbike was blown to pieces by an Ork Loota my friend who was writing a battle report wrote an 'Imaginative' description of the destruction that lasted a whole A4 side

sent farsight and 4 bodygaurds back to the deployment zone with an assault cannon terminator, sent all but one plauge marines in a squad of ten to hell with 5 terminators and a terminator chaplain (dont know if thats an acheivment, but man those buggers are hard to kill!)

Yeah, BS2 with pistols. It was awesome. They just shot it and he failed 4 of his 5 saves and da boyz sat their clearly confused and disappointed in the fact that their choppas wouldn't be krumpin' da biggest bug....

Mini Guard one.

8 Storm troopers (5th Ed) Deep Strike in during an Annihilate mission against SM. With flukey rolling, they kill a squad of 9. Two other squads rapid fire them, kill all but the Sergeant. He charges in with his Power Weapon and wipes out a squad of 8 marines over the next four rounds. The 3rd squad of marines wait nearby, not advancing to my main gunline but to gain the KP for killing him . They are blown to pieces by a pair of Basilisks!

The sergeant survived the game!

in one apoc game (Sm(me) and Imp guard vs. SM Ork and Tau) Shrike infiltrates with a squad of 10 assault marines but theinitiative was stolen
and all the assault marines were killed and shrike was promptly charged by Gazzy and 3 meganobs, Gaz is killed before he can strike back and
over the rest of the game Shrike went on to kill the mega nobs(run down) 5 assault termies and calgar before dieing to a railgun shot (the only one of his invunerable
saves I failed)!

sadly he hasn't survived a battle since =[ maybe he used all his luck up on that one day

My Wolf Scouts destroyed a Rhino and then killed the 6 Plague Marines inside in one turn of CC.
Logan Grimnar crushing Calgar for all his wounds in a single turn of CC.

I've had a GK Grand Master wipe out an Orky Dread and 30 Ork Boyz with only one attack

At the very end of my Orks vs Crimson Fists game, my friend had Pedro Kantor assault my immobilised Deff Dread as he yelled "For the emperor!". Since he had a power fist I had the initiative and Chopped him in half with the dread's Close combat weapon before he could do anything.

I had my Necron warriors survive 4 rounds of combat vs Death Company, which only ended because my monolith's particle whip scattered their way, the majority managed to brush it off next turn come WBB thanks to a res orb, Death Company....not so lucky.

Deceiver was at 1 wound after coming out of a combat with some boyz+boss. I had some boyz with some rokkits, couldn't see the warriors, so I decided the god of the necrons needed to die. Rokkit hit, wounded, failed invuln save. He exploded and killed like 4 orks. This was after the warboss had knocked two wounds off him with his PK, and once he went down the boyz nob shouted "REVENGE" and put another wound on him.

Also that game I jumped my KOMMANDOS into a BATTLEWAGON in order for them to zoom across the board and try to kill some warriors. First time that's ever happened

I had a first turn double kill with my deffkoptas, whacked 2 dreadnoughts with their rockets:3

Needless to say, he was not amused.

My Tac squad Sargent charged a Gun fex once it took out the rest of his squad, he only had a bolt pistol and CCW..He won.

My Big Mek used his SAG to Zoink! into a SM 5 man tac squad killing 4 out of the 5 in three rounds of combat before getting killed.

twenty necron Warriors murdered 9 space wolf terminators. Then the Deceiver sweeped in and murdered Stormcaller. It was epic.

My wolf lord and 5 man termie retinue W/ th and ss assaulted 15 boyz, 3 nobz and ghazzy AND they were on a Waaagh. First round of combat killed them all. And didn't loose a man. That'll teach the orks not to try and face the wolves of fenris.

My last remaining Stormtrooper in combat with a Carnifex, it was the sargeant with the plasma pistol, the Carnifex was on 2 wounds left thanks to my Canoness, the Stortrooper needed 5's to hit, both hit, 6's to wound, both wounded, 2+ save, both failed. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G

My last game:

I had a Devilfish tank shock a group of shootas in cover to contest an objective and killed a power claw Warboss who failed his armor pen during death or glory.

3 warp spider squads killing green tide in turn one

I had 10 Gretchin w/ 1 Runtherd take on a 5 man squad of Blood Angel Terminators with nothing more than a short wall between them. The little guys actually got all but 1 before that last terminator had his way... man was it awesome.

Hey the emperor protects!.....kind of.

Nearly tabled an opposing Space Marine army on turn two. On the first turn, my Long Fangs blew up a Rhino, killing four of the five combat-squadding Tac Marines inside as well as four Sternguard behind it. The remaining Sternguard then proceeded to fail a Leadership and run straight off the board edge. The SM player then charged a Captain with a Command Squad up into my squad of 5 Thunderwolf Cavalry + a Wolf Lord with twin claws and promptly died to wolf claw and rending attacks. On turn 2, the TWC/Lord unit charged up and took out two combat squads, leaving nothing but a wrecked Rhino and 5 marines on the field.

The other player just shook his head and gave up then. (Considering I had lost nothing except for a single TWC with another wounded). He failed a lot of saves that he shouldn't have, mainly in that first round where I toasted 8 marines by blowing up a Rhino.
