Greetings, I am kinda new to warhammer and I didn't like the idea of using a already established chapter so I made my own.

Flame Angels

I'm thinking of placing them on a volcanic world of some sort to go with the fire theme.
I think they would either be a secondary chapter to the Dark Angels or to the Angels of Fire.
I also like the idea of them being a xeno hunter squad.

Any help is appriciated.

for flame theme you could make them a Salamanders succesor chapter. there are none known to exist, but that doesn't mean they can't


you can use Salamander type tactics, Melta and flamers, Vulkan and Thunderhammer terminators. Very strong

yeah and if your doing flame chapter check out salamanders they love fire and have good gene seed and are guite common da brings lots of stuff with it fallen,inner counsil and so on
and they cant be deathwatch mayde close with ordo xenos

angels of flame are an official chaos chapter so i think you might want to go with something a little more creative. Xeno hunters are almost strictly the ordos xenos, but its not like every chapter doesn't fight xenos of some sort eventually.
I'll give the advice i give to everyone who insists on making their own chapter. Heres a page that lists every chapter (chaos/ marine and renegade) that GW has said exists

Use cleansing promethium flame purge the xenos scum!

As said Salamanders could be a good starting point maybe look at Black Templars for fluff, more than organization, they are pretty zealous anti xenos types!

Yo could have a high proportion of veterans being members of the Deathwatch too.

Maybe have like EVERYTHING with flamers and melta guns? And use a Vulkan He'stan type Captain.

Ok I really like what i have read on the salamanders. They dont' have a codex yet right? Anyplace to look for more stuff for them?

I also like the addons for the models I have found. The shields and shoulders are particularly awsome.

I am going to make this a sucessor chapter of the Salamanders that are orange. Already started painting so i kinda gotta stick with it.
So the question being Flame Salamander, Fire Salamanders, Fires of the Imperium, Flames of the Imperium.

Fire Drakes comes to mind.

Being that the 1st division of the salamanders is called the Fire Drakes it would make sense that a offshoot chapter would follow with a name that is close to the salamanders ideals.

What do you guys think should i use the salamanders insignia then? Ill be copying the whole chapter structure in all likelihood.
I had a alternate worked up but im not sure it will go with the other stuff?

I have a idea for a hero model that is going to be awsome
He will have a space marine that has a metamelter following him around with a huge backpack full of fuel for the heavy flamer the hero is carrying Make the nozzel on the flamer extra long too so it looks like a real flame thrower He will weild it one haded obviously and have a fiery hammer in the other hand Cause he's the man.
