Got my Tauros Venator to this point on the weekend. I want to do some decals and weathering, but I'm terrified I'm going to screw it up now that it looks kinda nice.
Also want to tidy up some of the highlighting, e.g. the visors and shoulder armour.

On top of finishing off those UCM infantry there, I've done the main coats on both their Dropship, 2nd APC and a second squad of UCM infantry.
I've got a slight concern though. I was going for 'desert camo' which works quite well, especially with my Agrellan Earth bases. However, my dropship is looking decidedly Tau-ish. I might show it off once I get a couple more layers of yellow on it, it's looking rather patchy right now.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Putting more work into my Malifaux. Lilith is about halfway done, and nearly finished a Young Nephilim.
These are still the most fun models to paint I've ever worked on. So much character. Just enough detail to make them interesting but not enough to make them hard to paint.

Soaked a Land Raider I scored from a friend for some work I'd done (it was painted terribly, he'd gotten it for a steal at a convention); had it in the container with solvent for about two weeks as I'd forgotten it was there.
It's now pretty clean, looks like a heavy weathering job was done, but now it's possible to repaint the thing to BA colors. Heh.

I'm just getting into DZC myself and I really like your work so far. The desert theme is an idea I think I'm going to steal.
I started cleaning up my game table and work table to make way for my DZC painting project then I hope to play quite a few games with my Scourge and UCM!

The second picture is of a demon from the video game Doom 3, it's referred to as a HellKnight, hope that nets you some more pictures via web sources!
As for my hobbiness today...I think I'll finish stripping some dreadnoughts and then start painting my Scythes of the Emperor.

The Infinity sets arrived, and wow, the quality is exceptional! Can't wait to get these guys on the painting deck! Now, can I get them done before Icestorm arrives next weekend?

Developing a new respect for anyone who has ever painted an Infinity mini and made it look good. They're great sculpts, but damn fiddly! I'd also forgetten how annoying metal is to work with, paint chipping while still working ect.

I kind of like the metal for infinity sculpts, they sculpt a lot of detail in and the metal gives you nice hard edges to work with.
Still in a mini painting funk. Having ready access to FFT is no help...
I have them glued to the bases and try not to touch the models themselves, but I think I might try tacking them to a bottle. Cheers!
The detail is great, I just find you have to be a lot more thorough with metal than plastic or resin. Miss a bit with the primer in the latter two and you're still OK, miss a bit with the metal and the paint chips/rubs off again, and again, and again. Maybe I'm just out of practice having not really touched metal minis for about 5 years of 40k/Deadzone.
The other thing with the Infinity minis compared to what I'm used to is there's a much smaller 'canvas' than, say, 40k or Malifaux. Every space is filled with detail, there's no real areas to throw in freehand or effects, and so I'm finding it hard in places to get them to 'pop', as it were.
Still, I've started to get some looking passable, so in theory I'll get the hang of it...

Yeah bottle tops old GW paint pots. Pp paint pots are all things I tack models onto to allow for more gripping space to prevent me holding the model. A base alone just isn't big enough.

Models with cloaks tend to have large areas for you to freehand and play about with.

And all the first wave of InfiniMinis are done! 1 Knight of the Sepulchre, one Teutonic Knight, one Magister Knight, 3 Order Sergeants and 1 Sergeant Sniper.
In another thread it was mentioned how much washes help Infinity sculpts, and I didn't realise just how true that was until now. About 3 o'clock this afternoon I was ready to strip and redo the lot, i just could not get the armour right! I hit one with wash on a whim, and BAM, instant better-looking-ness! I'll try and get some pics tomorrow pending basing, lighting and touchups.
Now the long wait for Icestorm...
