I found some plasma rifles laying around and destroyed my firestorms for fireknives. I'm a little ancy about turning some of my dual shield drone bullet catchers into shield drone/gun drone combos to shave points but I think the extra wound allocation unit might be worth it when I start to get torrented.

That said I could do the shield drone/gun drone combo to my fireknife squads and fit in a positional relay and drop the targeting array off my shas'el.

My thoughts on the positional relay are that I could outflank a single unit of kroot and get a 2/3 chance to get them into my opponents backfield to mess with some heavy weapons squads or shut something similar up for at least a turn.

I tried to get as much duality out of my crisis teams as I could with my HQ as my anti-horde/counter punch for a kroot squad getting eaten, with the redundant fireknife squads so I don't make target priority too easy for my opponent.

The piranhas are for movement blocking and probably won't last more than 2 turns but at least they'll all get cover saves from over 12" and even though one of them is pretty much a bullet catcher, I'd like to at least be able to do something with it on the off chance it lives even without the targeting array.

I'll have as many of my suits as possible doing the JSJ from behind the warfish and hammerhead while I try to leave the best firing lanes for up to 5 different targets of railguns.

Let me know what you think! Good/bad/otherwise! Thanks in advance!

The only thing that doesn't really come down to preference (although it really is I suppose), is that I would shift the TL MPs to their own unit, and give the commander some of your FKs instead. This should let you crack a transport with the TLMP reliably, while still being able to put another big fat template over the passengers that turn if you want.

This is a technically good list at a glance though - lots of room to argue preference, but those fights don't have actual right answers, so /shrug.

I don't know that I would field 9 FKs - that's too much redundancy and not enough flexibility for what I like about Tau. Again, though, no real right answer there.
