Their website issues refuse to go away, don't they? I remember that they anted to close their forum down, presumably to save money on the bandwidth. But then they have so many cool things on the website (weirdly slow and clunky catalogue notwithstanding).

Their site probably just can't take all the abuse. I recall them taking their previews onto Facebook and other sites primarily because people would spam F5 on maybe-update days. With the game getting more popular and the Army Builder requiring much more processing, their servers are probably buckling still.

Still down. No biggie.
Is there a function in the new army builder to make a hidden list? So your TO and AD units aren't revealed? The ia-aleph app used to let you do that.
Is that a natural 21?

They all have that knife for religious reasons though. What's wrong with it?

Or you mean just not hold it?
Of course he means "just not hold it".
It doesn't read like that, so 'of course' is very presumptuous.
Knight is aware that the knife is a part of the Akali religion.
In any case, there is no reason for him to be holding his knife aside from the fact that CB likely did it as part of their whole "open chest, more details" drive.
The posing on the Akali looks fine but something about the knife arm when combined with it looks off.

The Spitfire kills it a bit and I question just what moment the artist wanted to show us. If he had lighter weapon such as pistol in the second hand it would look much better. Without the Spitfire or knife I could imagine him doing cautious advance and make a quick turn around a corner. A hacker profile would go nicely with this particular scene too. Although I also wouldn't mind, if they model a pistol and keep the knife sheeted once they get around that particular profile. Simply to diversify models.

Ooh, I knew the Akali would look good! Glad I was right. And gasp, he has BOTH FEET ON THE GROUND! Looks like Akalis are the only jump troops that get to do that.
He looks like he's stalking something that's around the corner. Maybe he's already shot an wounded someone, and now he's going in for a more silent kill to not give away his position more that he has to.

The Akal is amazing for one reason: It's an Homage to the original Akals, which had a guy in a very similar pose. It was one of the best sculpts of that early infinity era, and they still do well today.
It helped a lot in establishing infinity as having the nicest sci-fi minis with very creative designs.

Beautiful looking mini. Really like the shape of the helm with these guys, and the way elements of the shape have been copied into the other armour plates. You can tell some thought has gone into it.
I don't mind the knife, it adds some distinction to the Akali.

Oh yeah, and the Akali with Spitfire.
Thanks for the answer.
I hope the Akalis Spitfire is not as mundane as the Ragik Spitfire. We should see this week.
The Ragik is pretty good. Nothing earth shattering but at least his pose makes sense.
Mundane, nothing earth shattering, I think we are saying the same thing here. If one has the HMG Ragik, the Spitfire Ragik is not enough to make one shelve the HMG and use the Spitfire instead. If you don't already have the HMG Ragik, the spitfire will be fine. Not every mini needs to be a home run ( or jonron )
I like this Spitfire Akalis, and most certainly will add it to my ASA despite its 1.5 SWC (ASA always gets hammered on SWC.) The knife pose is much better than the BS Akalis ( in the ASA starter). Beats the snot out of a rage fist pose, That is for certain. An Akalis hacker and a Spitfire make a nice little surprise from above. Add in Kirpal, and some cheap filler units to avoid being order starved early on and you have a fun little list.
