This will be going up on the GW website soon, and I was told I could throw a post up here to let people know.

40k 'Ardboyz will have 3 locations this year for the final round, to let more people play, with less travel time.
Locations are: Games Workshop Bunker store in Los Anelos, Games Workshop Bunker store in Chicago, and the Gaming Bunker at Showcase Comics in Media, PA. (Philly).

So for those people on the East Coast that are skilled or lucky enough to get a ticket to the final round, I'll see you in July!

That could help or hurt attendance. Since I think the Los Angeles one wouldn't have more than 15 or so people. Seems a little strange to me. But it's cool since people won't have to travel as far...unless you live in like texas or something....

I agree with Mikhaila's answer to my question when I asked the same thing. Would there have been a "true champion" if they didn't split it up geographically? How many people wouldn't be able to just fly out to Chicago?

Why hasn't GW said anything official yet? Without anything official the 3 ard boys location is rumor. I need to book a plane ticket to Chicago soon to avoid a huge price hike on my plane ticket, and I'm sure plenty of other people are in the same situation as I am. If they wait until the last minute to make the 3 locations official then people will have already made travel plans to Chicago, and attendance at the 2 other locations will be very small.

I am guessing it's fallout from the move to memphis, restructuring, and loss of personel that did not want to make the move, but that's a guess. I've known about the 3 diferent finals since the first of the year, since we were hosting one of them. Obviously, information didn't flow as well as it could and the website has not been updated. I've
re-confirmed that we were running them a half dozen times. On Thursday, and today, I talked to GW about getting it up on the website.

The situation you're in is exactly why I was hoping they would have it listed before the semi's finished up.

If for some reason the situation changes, I'll put up a post immediately. But as of a couple of hours ago, there are 3 finals for 'Ardboyz.

guess they cancelled the one at Archie Bunker.

Just to confirm, the manager of the la bunker confirmed to me personally (and anyone can call and get this info) That the LA bunker will be hosting a finals for 'ard boys.

I hope we get more than 6 entrants from the CA scene .
