I'm trying to wrap up my dwarfs at the moment. After that I need to put some finishing touches on my IG tanks, and base the troops. Wondering about starting a new army, but someone just pointed out that 5th might suck, so it'll probably be a fantasy army.... Hmm... time for some R&D...

For WHFB, I've started a VC army but I still need to get bucketload of figs for that. I also need to get some daemonic reinforcements for my Chaos army, so I can make some neat lists from the new FB daemon armybook. I have a big pile of half-finished or untouched Eldar and CSM for fortykay but I'll wait till 5th ed. before I figure out what to do with them. I'd also like to start either FoW/WM/Epic during summer as a change of pace, but that's still a bit in the air.

Well I'm finishing up my Ogres for the GT at the end of the month. Once they're done:

Paint my first 500 Points of Khador, and probably expand a bit.
Wait till 5th Edition hits to build the metric ton of Orks I've got on sprue.
Eventually work on painting all my Dwarfs and the tiny last bit of my Marines.

I'm considering a 1500 point Tau/Eldar hybrid army of conversions from both model lines.

The other project I am considering is moving to AT-43 once the Cogs come out. Plans will change based on what happens there.

Guess I better finally send those minis off to you if they're on your project list...

This is an easy thread to reply to... because I actually have a gaming task list of projects set up on my Treo. Yes, there are that many. In order:

1. Get ready for fall BattleTech campaign I'm running
- Finish designing campaign rules
- Make 3D versions of as many of the maps as possible (I think I own every published map)
- Paint 60+ Mechs
2. Space Hulk
- Buy, assemble, and paint a second Terminator squad
- Finish painting 'Stealers
- Create my own cooler-looking versions of Door, Blip, Flamer, Overwatch/Jam and Command Point counters
3. Legends of the High Seas (want to get into this after watching RanTheCid play a game)
- buy book
- figure out what minis to buy and paint
4. Mechaton- design more robots and buy Legos necessary to build them
5. Necromunda- misc. conversion work on my gang
6. BFG Eldar- assemble Void Stalker and paint fleet
7. CoD
- make markers to represent my most frequently-used Stratagems
- make flags for captured buildings
- paint my buildings
8. assemble/paint IG army for CoD
9. BFG Imperial fleet- assemble Emperor battleship, paint it and Dauntlesses
10. BFG Chaos fleet- paint 7 Cruisers
11. Tau army- assemble and paint the 3000 point army sitting in my closet

The 40K stuff is all lower priority than usual because I've postponed it until seeing
1) whether 5th edition makes me want to stop playing the game, and
2) whether I can get my 40K group hooked on BattleTech with the campaign.

Hmmm, I have a dozen projects amongst which I bounce back and forth and can't seem to get one finished, but when you had only one project, your IG, you still couldn't get just that finished.

xenite wrote:

Great, now I have to add printing this shirt to the list of projects you'll never finish.
Also, big surprise on the typo.

Actually, that shirt might be a good idea- it would save us the embarassment of both showing up in our Blue Sun shirts.

(Don't blame Xenite for the threadomancy today- I posted a link to this thread on another forum we both inhabit, leading him here. I should have known that, like me, he'd be unable to resist the urge to post mockery.)

I have huge Ultramarine (Battle co+) project under way, but I put on hold til I see what 5th ed offers.

I'm currently painting 85 Khorne Berserkers, and 1 defiler for Apoc game this weekend.

I have Ravenwing/Deathwing army (1850 pts) on sprue that I want to play.

I have CoD terrain to paint and put together. I bought the big box and 9 or 10 of the little ones so I have enough terrain to cover 6 x 4 easy,

Does it ever end?

I play Underconstruction.. On side...

I've got a whole Ork army still in boxes. Only 20 Boyz have been painted so far. Should be done by the end of next year.

I'm looking at upgrading my Eldar by adding War Walkers and Warp Spiders, but still waffling at the moment.

I'm almost done with my first and only army, a 2,000+ Night Lord. I'm thinking about picking up a Land Raider or two to cap it off.... Or maybe a box set for WHFB... won't be sure till I get to the store.

Well, I have plenty of projects to finish. However, I have some ideas bouncing around for a Nurgle themed around my experiences of a recent trip to India. In a single two month period aboard an offshore construction vessel floating around in the middle of the Bay of Bengal, we:

1: had a TB outbreak
2: had a demonic infestation
3: had a ritual scourging of demons done by a local priest
4: got abandoned by the doctor sent to "save" us all from TB
5: lost our vessel's Master
6: Lost our vessel's ETO
7: got poisoned
8: destroyed a lot fo equipment

sounds like the beginings of a Dave Abnett Special to me.

You can rob me. You can starve me and you can beat me and you can kill me. Just don't bore me.

Good, Bad. I'm the one with the indifference.

Hmmm, lessee:

At least finish up the 2250 Empire so I can play in Bayou Battles and The Alamo tournies. Hopefully get that done by July 12th, because I know I'm going to want to play some 40K. Then finish up the Marines and Death Guard for 40K. That should hold me until the end of summer. So glad I'm not the only one with projects still in boxes and blisters. May finally break out the SoB's I've been wanting to do for so long. Paint, that is.

• Reconverting my demon army counts as Nids to real demons (while keeping that option open and expanding).

• Converting/painting DE wyches and demonettes. Goal of 40 demonettes to also represent gaunts on the nid side.
• Converting bases with new idea.
• Converting shaggoths into defilers
• Adding some Tzeentch screamers and maybe flamers

• May start on painting and converting a backlog of Valhallans I have.
• Also helping out with an Armeggedon event in the Fall.

I'm currently working on 10mm WWI British the moment. They're coming along nicely, especially the Black Watch company with impressionistic painted tartan kilts.

Also just started gathering the parts for my true-scale Pre-heresy Emperors Children standard bearer for our upcoming painting competition. Really looking forward to getting that going now.

Finish my HGB:L&L versions of my Western Frontier Protectorate Armor Regiment. I'm rebuilding the list for 1000 and 2000 point levels and had to add some infantry to use some odd points and act as spotters.

Then there's the Peace River forces...

Then probably some southies, just because I've never painted them.

Sadly side work and real life has left me little painting time and I haven't played a game of anything in a long while.

I'm with HBMC on this, I feel like I have had the rug pulled out from me lately with the unknown rules changes and codex release schedule for 40k. I haven't been able to get motivated about building any 40k stuff since I heard the rules were coming out for certain this year months ago.

It's left me.... demoralized knowing that a whole host of units of mine will probably be un viable shortly. (I have 10 Eldar tanks, a massive IG army and Marines in the 6 man tac squad style, all of which I expect to get hit with massive changes to whats effective.)

Ironically I put all 40k stuff on complete hold until I have a new rulebook in my hand and I can finally lay all the rumors to rest. In fact I have been melancholy and selling off my Old Units I have reason to believe wont be legal or any good anymore.

I think I'll have to start over and the prospect of painting a Godzilla Army or a Daemon Army to be competative, leaves me sullenly depressed as I don't really like either of those armies and am completely sick of godzilla at tourneys, but if you can't beat them join em. With running and all the new vehicle limitations I think these two will probably be the best armies out there...

(I'd love to be wrong, it certainly happens frequently enough>?)

On the interim I have been painting Pirate Girls for 'Legends of the High Seas' which has been a major relief! Just 10 or so individual figures, so nice vs needing 50. heh!

Occasionally, the Man I'd like to be, and the Man I am, actually meet, and those are my greatest moments.

Have you tried the Foundation Orange?

I am currently finishing painting my Dark Eldar so I will finally have an army that's done. Of course by the time I finish the new DE book will be out and I'll have to start all over again... (No, no, I just won't buy any of the new models...)

I'm also working on a 1,000 point Renegade IG force using Flagellant bodies, Catachan arms, and Kolony Rebel Heads. Grey Death this army will be appearing in P&M. It's the first time I've made an army list, bought just enough to make said army list and then really went to town. I'm modeling the bases to be urban rubble, have a paint scheme in mind, and a kick ass 1,000 point list that Dakka helped me create.

I'm also also finishing up my 2,000 point Vampire Counts army. I just need some new Skeletons, a Corpse Cart, and I need to convert me up some new Black Knights.

Finally, I am going to finish the T-bolts and Maurader for Aeronautica Imperialis. Its great having an army that is literally 5 great models, I can actually have a fully painted force.
