Would that be the god-specific legions or mutants and cultists?

I assume the former.

@Kid Kyoto: This is from Art is Resistance from Waseer, enjoy:

I have a feeling it might be a stand alone unit, but I could be wrong...It would be cool though to pay X amount of points for the whole army to get these special rules!

Oh thank god!!!

I always liked the OLD legion rules better than the crap cursed founding crap rules they replaced them with. Those rules look (to me) like they're closer to the older rules.

The continuous release probably wasn't implemented before
because the splash release worked so well. People waiting
to update an old army saw the latest releases and bought
a new army instead. I think that's changed with people
playing other games. They wait and see if they're interested
in a new release, and when they're not they go play some
other game (be it Warmachine, WoW, or whatever).

Neat stuff in those previews. Thanks for posting them.

Storm bolters. You're looking at a Land Rider sprue.

Hurricane. Hurricane bolters.

Hurrrricane.

As "ghosts" of former marines, they must be vulnerable against psybolts.
But why should GK hunt LotD ?

An Ultrapurist Malleus Inq could see them as daemonic entities: all this skull and flames motifs and the whole teleport from nowhere thing could raise some eyebrows...

But I agree, as ghosts they probably should be vulnerable to inv save ignoring armament.

Just deepstriking without transports, scary looks and leaving without transport.
Also invulnerable save 3+ from beeing no ghost-like creature?

I thought the word "fluff" killed kittens.

Hmm.

Some people believe that, but I have proof that the only real threat to kittens is Howard Dean.

I have to say, after this GD, I have never been this excited about GW stuff since... damn, 2nd edition or something. I am just ludicrously excited for some of these releases! And releases throughout! That means that just because we don't get a plastic whatever with the splash release, it still might happen!! That's so awesome!

And New Marine book, Space Wolves, IG... *drool* I cannot wait to see it all. Even the WHFB stuff looks fantastic! And FAQs ae comign out.. New WD content. Am I dead? Is this heaven?

I think it's more of a squad than an army. Probably a 0-1 Elites choice.

dienekes96 , did you by chance get any pics of the Plague Ogryns? I've been dying to see them since they were first mentioned by Mark Bedford at the FW Open day.

Also, any pics of the FW Ork upgrades would be excellent as well.

Just to switch gears, I'd like to point out that both the 40k and the fantasy tournaments were won by guys in my local gaming group so that I may somehow ride their coattails and feel like I achieved something. Carry on.

Kroot Shaper (very good)

Aye, very impressed with that shaper. Actually, I was just happy to see a new kroot model at all!

Despite the upsurge in new stuff being shown, I think I enjoyed last year's Games Day more. Or at least I left it more hyped up and with a good buzz. This year I had 2 great games with my Chaos marines - 7k a side bash (Chaos vs Ultras + Nids) over in Open Gaming for a bunch of the day, then a 3k a side killfest to end the day (Chaos vs Guard + Tau) - and looked at some stuff, but didn't do any free stuff or club games. Bought a shirt and my FW pre-orders, and am very happy with both.

This year there was a lot more free stuff given out, for yelling or quizzes or just in general, and I was shocked to see that deals were actually to be had in the store. But ... at this point in the hobby I've got a LOT of stuff and working to make it less, so while I almost twitch-bought Liber Chaotica and Xenology for 50% off, I was good and held off. And then gave it all to Hooters after the convention

But in the end, I think that I'll hold off next year, unless I really feel like dressing up or something. Just didn't achieve the 'rush' I got last year, caught up in the gaming madness. $40 ticket + 3 hour drive is enough to make me just have Games Day Pennsylvania and game with my friends, order some FW in and then go to dinner without the drive and ticket price

Thanks for the report though!

- Salvage
