Thanks for the kind words! I started with 40k somewhere around May/June this year. My desk (or rather corner of my wifes and my work room) has transformed since then I can tell you. And its a ton of fun!

My order of magnets arrived yesterday, so now I can start putting my termies together too.

Im waitin for the GS to dry on the sonic blaster. Soon more painting and then putting it together.

While waiting I put together two female noise marines





They will have one big claw and sonic. Scratchbuilt smaller models to fit the smaller torso. They will also have shoulder pads and backpacks. And the one thats getting a butt is also getting a tail.

At least thats the current plan.

and the torso is GSed to a pair of ordinary NM legs.

the torsos are a bit small for my taste :(

Well before I go into a long rant about no time for my new hobby since RL has taken over lately etc, I thought Id post a pic.



Can anyone guess what it is? Is xedric building some large revenant toilet paper rolls gun? :p

Ok. So RL has been crazy. Long story and dont have the energy to tell it all. Might come in later posts. Lets keep it positive instead and say I finally got that big order of plasticard Ive been waiting for. Two sheets of 1mm and one sheet of .5mm. Since I bought em from a local plastic workshop thing I might have to point out that a sheet is approx 1.4x1 meters *grin*

So with the new lovely styrene I had to go over the old chaosdogs shinguards. The old ones didnt do it. I need them to be wider at the bottom. So this is what I did.



From left to right. On the left side you see the old shin guard that I havent done anything with. Next is the reshaped shinguard. Its thick carton with putty (the cheap stuff you use on walls to fill holes). At the top I glued in a piece of wood to help keep the same shape at the top. At the bottom I glued in another piece of wood that pushed the shinguard wider. This is now my new frame for making shinguards in styrene!

Then to the right and above the frame you see my first attempt at heating styrene and shape over the frame. It wasnt as easy as I thought... Next try is the last item on the right and Im pleased with it! Now to make another 3 hehe. Two for each leg with some putty between to give that proper thick armour feeling. Whadya think? c&c much appreciated!

One more item. The NM is done buildingwise and now PIP.



Be kind and remember this is my first fig I paint. Its also the firts fig I have ever finished assembling! So no converting on the marine, only the scratchbuilt sonic blaster and a little detail on the shoulder pad where the tubes are attached.

Now you give me some good c&c and Ill post more later! *smile*

I want power swords for most of my termies. Does this work? Is it slaaneshi? Ill be doin some GSing on the basket hilt and also add some power bit from the cut of mace. Maybe another wire from the sword to the arm.

One of the powerpant daemonette noise marines will have a tail. This is just the beginning of it.



Im also planning out how her sonic blaster, shoulder pads and backpack will look. The blaster wont be held in her hand but rather attached to her arm to fit in with the demonette thing. Pads will be sculpted on the shouders. Backpack, not sure what to do. It has to be much smaller than an ordinary one... Thoughts?

may just be the angle but the female chaos marine looks like she is about to slowly fall back.. blonde style.. congratulations on your first model assembled ! keep up the good work!

Yea both females are leaning back a bit. Thats because of the pose on the demonettes. They have an "arched back and shoulders back chest out" sorta pose. Hopefully itll look as if shes leaning back to compensate for the heavy blaster she is pointing in your face

Amazing work xedric, and if (and this is just my guess) the toilet rolls are for an amazing Gatlingesque weapon for the big dog, that will be amazing.

Imagine the battlefield report - "Sir, we've lost the forward battalion - they appear to have been wiped out by some toilet rolls..."
