It's got to be a Deff kopta.

If you haven't got Black Reach, there are spare koptas going on eBay fairly cheaply.

I assume it's Orks because it's a Mekboy challenge.

Again, you can submit any model you want at the end of the day as long as it is based off of the plastic Deff Kopta model.

HOWEVER, the goal of the challenge is to create a model that is recognizable as a Ork Deff Kopta, so if you end up converting your Deff Kopta model into an Imperial Guard Sentinel (for example) then you probably aren't going to get the judges final votes no matter how cool the vehicle is.

If you really want to make an Imperial Guard Kopta, it is possible (as with any model submitted based off of the Def Kopta model) that you can win, it's just you won't be playing towards the ultimate theme of the competition which I will be instructing the judges to look for amongst the finalists.

Yep, that's the theme of the challenge. But by all means create your wacky conversion anyway and just show it normally in the forums!

Got mine made, but misread the rules and didn't paint it. Doh. I think I'll go unpainted rather than rush painted. Aiming for a last minute entry here though...

Super procrastinator here. Wanted to start a few weeks ago, but didn't get started until last night. It's OK though, it looks cool and I'll definately be playing with it, even if it comes in last. Now I just have to have my wife take the pictures for me and figure out how to size and post them! Good luck to all the entrants!

Well, I know I'll prolly get dinged on it but I could only get it partially painted before the deadline.

Hopefully all the work done on the conversion will stand out.

I will be putting up the voting thread tonight when I get off work.

I work evenings out here on the west coast of the US, so that will probably be sometime after 2:00am PST.

Thanks Yakface, I hope you got my entry in time...my broadband connection was up and down like an up and downy thing yesterday...I managed to get my entry sent with about a minute to spare.

When can we post up pics of our endeavours on the gallery? Do we have to wait until all the voting has finished?

Yes, please wait to identify which entry is yours or post any further pictures of it until the public voting is finished. I'll let you know when that is and then you're free to post all the pics you want.

You should learn to read how old a thread is.

And when contests have been over for months.
