me and some mates usually go to gw once or twice a month. If we get the time we might play at one of our houses.

We also go to warhammer world once a year on my mates birthday. nerd pilgrimage !!!

I don't game, really, but not for lack of desire. I've played at one of the two (relatively)LGSs and I've got a bit of terrain built up for my own eventual table, but the locals I knew that played graduated and moved away from campus. Should things change, it will either be: FLGS because I managed to afford a car, a friend's house because I find other players, or my house because I made room for and built a table (having already found local players).

I started in my house untill a gaming store moved in and even worked there, what a great 10 yrs. Then moved and found a great store and was just getting used to it and it closed, what a bummer. For 15 yrs gammers from all over the area came to my house I had a barn with two 4x8 tables, pleanty of chairs, music, beer name it. Then got married and my gaming experiance was cut to an end, wife got all possessive of me saying I was spending to much time with my friends and not her. I only gamed on Saterdays, the rest of the week was hers WTH. Well after a while I found another gaming store near by but it was full of snobs and the owner and staff tended to let the regulars (the In-Crowd) do as they wanted and we the noobs were kicked to the curb, has stuff stolen in store, owner giving away all my terrain and bitz box, threatened with assualt by the said "In-Crowd". So I left and never returned to a gaming store since, order online is how I get my stuff, play with my buddy's at there house and get no crap from the "In-Crowd". Funny how its is those people that make gaming a bummer and think they can push you around or take advantage of you.

I used to game at my place back in the day and me and some friends used to spend just as much time building terrain as we spent on our armies. These days though I either game at a buddy's place or at my FLGS.

My friends and I mostly play at my apartment.

I'd like to go to me FLGS, but most people there play Warmachine any more ....I also work weird hours, so by the time I get off work and get to the store, I wouldn't be able to actually finish a game

My buddies and I built our own 4x6 table that we use at my house for our own campaign, to playtest armies and lists etc, but we will also go to our local GW. Usually if we make the trip to the GW it is to pick up supplies, get painting tips, and play new opponents or do 2v2s etc. I like our table more than the GW tables, but the atmosphere is nice at the GW and there is minimal cleanup haha.

I used to game at my GW until the WAAC guys decided to take over. Decided to play at my house, 3 room apartment, and my missus also does all the GW games so tis a bit cramped.

I also used to play at a friends house til his brother stole 3 of my metal scouts, and kept fingering most of my army models without even asking me.

I've been really lucky to always live in an area that had great gaming communities. California as lots of people though, so i suppose it makes sense.

I have lived all over Cali and found my favorite place to game to be large game stores as there's always a big community of diverse players to game with and check out their armies.

When I lived in a smaller town with no active store but a group of hobbiests, we formed a club, andd met weekly. That was nearly as good. If you guys who don't have a local store want to get a group together, look for other gamers online and see if you can find a place that will give you space for free or cheap. It's a shame to paint the minis and not be able use them.

At home althought moving out to a purpose built games room soon (hopefully). Far to many petty arguments amongst little kiddies at FLGS and the local club is slowly getting taken over by them as well. (little kiddies). Maybe i'm just geting old...

"You smell dat? Do you smell dat? Napalm, son. Nofing else in da galaxy smells like dat. I love da smell of napalm in da morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for twelve hours. When it was all over I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' 'ummie body. Da smell, you know dat gasoline smell, da whole hill. Smelled like... victory."

Actually...I went to my FLGS the other day and while they had a great turnout for 40k night, it was all guys 40+ years old...I felt kind of out of place as an 18 year old. I want to play with other high school/college guys.

Interesting to see GW stores are only used by 12% of the community. I would have thought it'd be much more, and it makes me wonder if GW is getting that much value of their stores.

I game at my place (at least I used to before I moved), mate's places, and at a gaming club, for the record.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

I play when I can at Tabletop Hobby and Game in Overland Park, Kansas. It's 15 miles away, and even on Monday, which is supposed to be 40K night, half the tables are taken up by Malifaux, Warmachine or Dystopian Wars. The next closest store is 20 miles away, and has less tables.

I have been playing at home for most of my gaming time, with a table made up of a couple doors shoved together on a baby pool table. But i've just recently realiszed that the rest of my group doesn't seem to have any interest in expanding their armys, so i am building a mildly competitive GKs army, and will be spending a lot more time at the flgs soon.
