I like everything but the wood you put on it. Can you take that off and put plastic ones? They have cutters that will cut them so they fit together perfectly. I think it will look much cleaner that way.

the hummer is nice, but only if you were going for true scale. all the vehicles are cartoonishly small in 40k, so I would make it something the size of a land speeder.

The officer is great!
The Humvee looks much better now you've chopped the top.
Personally I would have used a 1/35th scale Humvee kit but obviously you are into the modelling and conversion so more power to your elbow.

The hummer is cool. Wasn't it designed so the axel width of the hummer was tha same width of a tanks tracks ? So it works for the size of the russ.

Why does an officer have corporal chevrons...

Yeah, i think that the officer is well done, except for the very clear lack of proper rank. The officer, who i am going to assume is a commissioned officer, and not a non-comm, shouldn't have any chevrons, and instead should have something more like a lieutenant or captain's insignia: like these http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:US-OF1A.svg or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:US-O3_insignia.svg These are a bit large, but you get the idea

Thanks for all the other comments, I plan to paint up the two bodyguards for my commander (but only if that's the proper term ) in the next couple of days. And I'm still waiting for my Armorcast and PigIron stuff to arrive

Its not like that was at all a comment that was like we didn't like it. It just seems odd for an officer to have the rank insignia of a corporal, thats all. The suggestion to change it was just a suggestion, becuase i am rpetty sure that other people, when they see him, if they know about the military at all, will wonder why he is only the second or third rank, but leading an army....

Yeah, ok...but then again I don't think anyone gaming against me will care that much about these little stripes being the wrong ones Hope I didn't sound too harsh or anything
Anyway, little update:
Here's the first HWT:
As said, I am still waiting for heads
The two bodyguards for CCS #1:
Think this is going to be one of two Astropaths...not sure about the head yet:
And a soldier with voxcaster, don't know yet to which squad he will be attached to:
Remember, all of these are WIP and there's alot that needs to be done..be it basing or GS work

Great job on the HMMWV - It looks outstanding, from original design to rework...really well done.
Being an American Soldier, there is alot of little details that you could add...that might make game play a little more intresting. But I am not going to tell you how to build your model...it is outstanding as is.
If you do want to know what I would add, that would twist gameplay, feel free to IM / mail me.
Agiain, amazing job...any chance of getting a copy of the plans and pieces

The only reason i say that the rank should be changed is because the sergeants you get with the normal boxes of IG troopers, have three chevrons.... But other than that, it all looks really well done

that would be cadian rankings. obviously this DIY army makes use of a similar looking insignia. most likely this was intentional, to confuse snipers.

..........the pea shooter guns instead of the flash lights, look too insignificant and tiny. Otherwise i the poses and ideas are grrrreat! Automatically Appended Next Post:

Amazing work, the level of detail in the conversions and the subtlety of the painting/weathering is very impressive. I'll be sure to keep an eye out on this project.
The combination of the Humvees and debris on the bases reminds me of the new movie "The Hurt Locker", not sure if it's out in Germany yet, but I highly recommend it.

oh, i forgot to say, I really like the humvees too! the only critisizm i could give would be regarding the logic of hard mounting flamethrowers foreward on an vehicle with an open crew compartment. but then, that will only mater when we figure out the logic behind chainsaw swords.

Exactly No seriously, I wanted some more weapons on this thing, and they just looked odd wherever I put them. So I chose the front...it's the best place for template weapons anyway ^^

Thanks man. The G36C's are from Hasslefree.
The PigIron Heads arrived yesterday...unfortunately I primed the figures before taking pictures....however here's the pictures.
