Yeah, the CCW looks a bit cartooney surrounded by all of the cool mecanical parts. Maybe just mod a Space Marine dred arm to look like it was captured from a dead dred (hee hee, that rhymes) and was then orkified. I just think it would look more realistic.

DAMN... all I have to say it rocks!

visit my blog at http://akersminis.blogspot.com/ and check out what I have going on. Also don't forget to follow the Boston Brawl Indy GT at bostonbrawl.com/

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

I like the body.... the DCCW is kinda "meh", and the legs.... the legs qualify as "Bad". It need knees with a bit of a bend it they're going to be that long. as the legs were last page, it looks like it's going to fall over from the profile.

Things I've gotten other players to admit...

I love it. The gatling-gun thingy above his head is ace. A little uncertain about the legs - maybe sentinel style legs are better? Would perhaps look more stable.

LOL - not sure if that "Bad" is a good one or a bad one. But I agree about the straight legs.

I put the knees in and had the first one straight and was going to have the second one stepping up on something or crushing something.
Thing is I forgot I was going to do that. When I realized what I had done it was pretty much as you see it and I have not made up mind rather to redo it or not.

This is full of win. Also, I say you should redo it. Have it stepping on a pile of dead space marines/*insert most frequent enemy here*.
Because 1, that shows how superior your orks are to *insert enemy*, and 2, dynamic poses beat standing straight 100% of the time.
Oh and put that 'over the top' gun back on, it looked cool...

Gonna have to wait. I am going outta town for a few. Get back on it then.

Looking a lot better; not that the first pose was bad, this just beats it. And the gun is brilliant!

Since you have a Space Marine dread arm on one side, why not Orky up a Wraithlord arm on the other side? Make it really look like the just pulled together whatever they found on the battlefield to get it up and running!

Been rethinking this fella.

I repositioned his legs,
chopped off his feet (gonna beef them up some),
and reworked that arm so it was longer.

I might need to address that angle of that arm somewhat. Looks like it pointing down too much. Did not notice it till looking at this pic.

I will be letting this fella rest for a bit.

I got my hands on the new ork dread and kans and I am gonna wait and use the left over bits to beef him up some.

Also I had to take that arm off and rework it again. take 3 on that arm. =)

Pretty much all plasticard and some bits. First time using the plasticard rods and tubes though. They make it a bunch easier.

Stump, this is so great! Also, let this comment serve as notice that I have been combing through your old posts (I'm in the fantasy section most of the time these days and hadn't been keeping up) and I love your latest creations! ESPECIALLY the dread that is now in your avatar pic

For this guy, I like that you chopped off the feet, and if you add them back on I'd like them to be beefier (like a wide claw foot so that he's not so weedy / ready to fall over). Also, I like the latest arm, although bending it at the elbow more might give it a more natural pose.

I hope you finish this guy instead of the standard dread/kans! Your scratchbuilds have so much more imagination/energy! You must have quite a large ork force by now

However now I have suggested it, according to the rules of the internet there are now pictures of old blood on scar vet hot action.... - nosferatu1001

Thanks for the post RiTides.

I am going to finish this guy soon. I have been rethinking him.

I think I made the pistons too large on the arm compared to the legs and I am redoing that.
Also I am taking the left over bits from the new kans and dread and I am going to beef up his legs and feet with it.

I will definitely be finishing him but it might be a bit before I get back on him.
