Thanks for all the comments: I look upon scratch building as a challenge. I am glad that you all have enjoyed the thread. If only one person likes or enjoyed it, then it was all worth the while. See you all around the forums.

Glad you enjoyed it and found something that you like. While I made this out of card stock (business card thick). you can do the main flat sections out of styrene and enhance it with thin plastic or paper card stock. Enjoy and hope to see your version as well. You can modify my plans to your needs as well.

As mentioned earlier, Glad you like it and the plans are just a base. You can improve on it as you wish and use styrene instead of paper.

Well, I have the plans for Titans and Reavers but they are too extensive and long in duration. One of these days I may make one.

Over at zealot.com in the downloads section, are the templates for a warhound titan.

Before I go to the Titans, there is a myriad of smaller stuff out there. Here is my latest build thread, it will be of a Catachan Scout vehicle. It is almost finished and it will be a multiple posting here and on other sites. Here a few photos as to where the build is at. I have to cut and pose the crew before I go on and I have not decided on the weapons system yet. The posting will start soon and see you around the forums.

Here it begins again. This is a scratch build of a Catachan Scout vehicle. It has some similarities between a ATV and a dune buggy. The beginning starts with the wheels. In an earlier build I showed how to manufacture the wheels. This method is the same with the exception that the lugs are made and glued on individually. So without further ado, here is the Catachan Scout. The next posting will be on the Main Body.

Thanks for the comment Finch. And now the body of the vehicle. As you will see, it is a two man vehicle. The main tub is in the center and the rest is stowage areas for ammo and other sundries.

Go for it Nurgles. I am making this out of card stock but the same technique will work with sheet styrene as well, with the exception of the wheels, but those you can make with my method or steal them from the Space Marine Bikes, but don't get caught by the Tech Priest.

My batteries died but I continued building. The construction of the rear is not depicted, sorry about that.

That''s frakkin' insane man! I love it!
An army with all of those handmade vehicles must look great.
Also, when using this manner of building vehicles, you can modify them however you like right? Like making the bike's into chopperbike's?

I have not tried a chopper bike yet, but it may seem possible for the Orky Boyz.

As of the moment, the answer is no. I have not entered any competitions. I just do it for the enjoyment and the challenge. For competitions, I would have to over detail the model and it takes too long to finish one that way. My models are just basic, finish one and on to the next.

Some more stuff on the little fellow. The roll cage is not done yet. I have to cut, trim and pose the figures first before I close it up, or the figures will not fit through the openings.

Actually, all of the models depicted here, are made from card stock (paper). I used to scratch build with styrene and I just treat the paper like it was plastic. All of the models here can be made with sheet styrene. Exceptions are the Eldar Jet bike and Grav vehicles. Those have to heat the styrene carefully but paper is more forgiving. There are more scratch build coming down the pike. See you then.
