I agree. The only reason why I would take a Ork "contingent" is for pure orkpower. So far Boyz and Planes are on the agenda, but I am considering warbikers/Nob bikes. Whether or not they are worth it Iam not sure... Automatically Appended Next Post: As for Fullteach's point, I am thinking of running 6 kans and 2 dreads, so I think that the only thing that I should be worried about is Tau Railguns. Damn being glanced to death by pulse rifles!

The troop selections should have 29 rather than 30 grots in them, this way youonly need to have 2 herders instead of 3. Its cheaper and also you wont lose some many grots when you fail a leadership test.
Another idea is to use the IG codex for this army instead.... use grots in place of guardmen and orkify all the Guard vehicles. Kans could be used as sentinels.

Personally I don't like having multiples of anything other than 5 when it comes to squad sizes. So no 29 man grot squads or 6 man tac squads...
Oh, and it is only 10 pts for an extra runtherd.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

Agreed!
Over all, this list seems fun to play with, but honestly not that competitive. Your army lacks any sort of anti-tank units. Maybe a zapp gun or crazy grot kopta pilots would work. Just and idea.

Hmmm. I could even just scratch build a few, and just use the rules for them. That would help a lot.
Are nobz a viable option in a regular ork army? Automatically Appended Next Post: Another point, how would you paint grotz? (I know this doesn't belong under army lists but i figured it might be alright.) I considered using a light green then glaze it using whatever the GW green glaze is. Eyes I would paint with a mephiston red, Teef with a Bone-colour, Clan markings probably caliban green (a nod to my 5000+ points of Dark Angels) and metal leadbelcher washed with seraphim sepia. Any tips?

For some grot anti-tank you might also consider some Kannons. They are cheap and I think they would fit your theme nicely.
I like to proxy the Forgeworld Killkannons for normal Big Gunz.

Make yourself a orky (Or grotty lol) Aegis defence line. Put a big, over the top lascannon on top, and get some grot's with their BS3, to man it. It's twin linked, powerfull, and has skyfire and inteceptor. So it should help not only defending your wimpier troops with a 4+ cover save (2+ if they go to ground), but it also gives you some decent anti tank. Huge wall of cover, tank busting and flyer busting gun, all for about 80 points? Yes please! Can't wait to see it anyway PS, remember, you don't need to kill -every- tank an enemy brings. Just ones that will hurt grots. A lascannon/multimelta land raider, can kill a maximum, of 3 grot's a turn. Thing's like that, are not worth even thinking about in a grot army, wheras in other armies, they would poo themselves seeing one of those. You can just laugh at it and bog it down Oh, and as the OP said, grot artillery! Line a bunch of that up with the aegis defence line gun, behind the line, and just blast 'em! Oh, and grot-planes...That would be epic... I want to see this so badly now xD

Here are the grots, as promised. As my army is still only about 400pts, these are the only models painted. At the moment, the army is as follows:
HQ
Big GrotMek
KFF, Burna, Cybork, eavy armour.
Troops:
20 Grots
2 Runtherds, 1 Grot-prod
Heavy:
3 Killa Kans
Grotzooka
Rokkit Launcha
Skorcha
The Grots will be painted like the ones pictured below. The skin is Moot green washed with Athonian Camoshade, The metal is Leadbelcher washed with nuln oil, and the cloth is bleached bone (or whatever the new paint is) washed with seraphim sepia. I've done them this way so that it is reletively easy to paint masses of grots. Unfortunately, the way that I have don the bases makes them look more like board game movers (or so I think) But using texture paints and a drybrush is a much simpler way to base, espacially for grots.
I'm aiming to construct a Cyber grotboss with Yarrick klaw and bolter, accompanied by some grot-nobz. I think the armour would be made up with the Iron hands bionics, Necron immortals and the Nob weapons. (nobs will be used later, either as "slaves" or as runtherds.) Yes i'ts cheesy but I think it will work. As always, any feedback is appreciated.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Sorry About the bluriness.

Grot tanks and Grot Megatanks would be very much in place in this army
as to Modelling them they are a pretty easy scratch build and the Grot Mega tank can have two twin link rockkit turrets each .. along with 3 gratzooka turrets giving you plenty of anti tank capacity ..
for Grot Tanks 6 ..grotzooka and the kommanda tank getting a skortcha ..would provide essential fire power ..

If you want anti infantry on the kans, grot zookas are leaps and bounds a better choice than skorchas, just because of higher strength, more templates and the BS is actually useful.
