Though it seems that Maelstrom has nothing in stock, and Wayland doesn't stock much aside from the Stug III.

How does the Stug III set seem? 2 sets or 3 to go up against the Shermans points-wise? (I have Know Your Enemy)

Stock indicators on Maelstrom are a bit misleading. I've had several pending PSC orders to be sent within a couple of weeks and not even a hint appeared on the webpage that these items had been restocked - or the extra stock just disappeared within an hour.

hmmm....You've noticed that to.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

I have a habit to check my order status on a daily basis, especially after several weeks had passed after placing that order. On the day it went from processing to packaging, the stock status for PSC was "out of stock". To be honest, it is sometimes the same with GW products as well. On the other hand, another order (marked as "out of stock") went to "packaging" within 3-4 days, without apparent change in the stock availability - they screwed up my order and sent me Russian Heavy Weapon kit instead of Germans (and I waited almost a month for that order). I raised this issue with Maelstrom and told me that another box will be sent to me. I prepared to wait another month, but the kit arrived within 1,5 weeks, while it was still marked as "out of stock" on the webpage.
So it's either a huge demand after PSC products (which could be the case, btw) and all kits are sold out within a day or smth or they just don't care to update their stock status...

I have had a similar ordeal with the Warstore. With the PSC stuff also. What happens is that the PSC company only send a very limited amout of stock to the Retailers and hence you have the MAelstorm scenario. ( sorry for the bad typing to early for me)

Im not sure thats what happens.

What happens is that retailers dont order enough.

Why would any seller purposely not send retailers enough stock? With overseas ordering from one source, a retailer will have to wait until they have enough of a restock needed to make shipping costs worthwhile.

Retailers order what they want. If the demand outstrips that order, then people will have to wait till they order more. Though I guess new releases will always be in short supply until their production run is up to speed.

Though it simply could be that PSC is selling so much that demand outstrips their production capacity at present. But I aint heard thats an issue.

You would probably know a little more than us about this topic since you do help out with the company. But you are probably not on the Manufacturing end though. But you are probably rite about the demand being greater than supply. Which is totally great for a small bussiness man especially with helping the local economy and keeping people employed.Helll is he taking applactions? but i think the commute to work would be a bit far for me.

Nothing of any substance I have no doubt. It will be amusing if BF attempt to sue PSC though

Seen it...

Not gonna repeat it as its between Battlefront and PSC... Nowt to do with me. I was shown it to give my opinion on it, which I did in private.

I was more concerned over reports of emails from BF asking retailers to drop other competing products to get BF stuff early. I work for a government consumer agency so things like that make me take notice as it ties in with the day job... But I cant confirm those rumours as I havent seen any of the emails in question.

Frankly its all a bit like the day job... and I like my hobby to not exist in that world...

Well i have heard alot about that email. In which i believe was a nasty thing to do.Probably also has some type of thing dealing with the Tournament Fiasco. Now that PSc has their own rules system which can be played at any scale,it is just that the 20mm is the prefered scaled. They can tell BF to go sit on it and that it is up to the consumer for what scale and rules they prefer. So that the retailers that carry both products could clearly state to Bf that they sell both systems.I just wonder if BAttlefront was stupid enought to try that with Zvezda, They make their own game and consumers use the models for FOW.Heck if BF was real stupid they could try that with PEter pig for their PBI rules set.was not PEter Pig who kinda pioneered the whole 15mmm ww2 models anyways?
I really do not know what the problem is with BF they were a very good suppporting company of the whole ww2 wargaming community and now to me they are slowly turning into GW. When i first started playing that is what took me away from GW products (40k and Fantasy) and that is why i made the switch.
As for the BF they do have a nice product niche with their books,Heros and specialty units they should not be doing what they are doing.Just because the consumers have options on what they want in a product.I know of people who prefer BF tanks over PSC ones.Their are people like me that own a whole boat load of their Infantry as i prefer theirs over other companies models. which i belive is still a good deal because the bases are included and weapons options. Then their are customers like me and brother who mix PSC and BF front models. We buy PSC for are core units then add BF stowage and commanders as for are command vehicles they are BF also.Hopefuly for BF that the new all plastic kits will make them happy.I for one will be buying the new Open fire box set.like i need more American paras.I already have two full companies and a Glider company with all of the Company support options.
It just sound like to me that BF needs to sit down and smoke a big one and chill. they will be alrite and stop getting gready. Also the they need to remember the World economy is not the best.Sorry food and utilities and GAsoline are more imprtant than luxery items like expensive Army men for adults.

I think you hit the nail on the head.

The historical wargaming hobby has always been about mixing and matching what you want.

For BF to come along and try to say thats not allowed, and to brand it - The FOW Hobby - put alot of peoples backs up.

They lost alot of their good reputation in a matter of hours...

Sadly, according to a friend, the M4A3 lates from PSC have the wrong 76mm turret.

According to him, the M4A3s had 1 cuppola and a smaller rectangular hatch. The ones that come with the M4A3 lates are the same old M4 76mm that have two round hatches.

I think you friend is slightly mistaken.

I think you will find he is thinking of the M4A3E8 turret... or the 7054366 pattern of the T23 that introduced a single oval hatch for the loader.

The M4A3(W) T23 turret had the hatch configuration shown on the PSC kit - Two split hatches.

But Im no Sherman expert...

PSC have made some mistakes with their Sherman variants, although they tend to be fairly minor. Your friend is incorrect on this one; the only rectangular hatch on any M4 variant's turret was on the English Firefly.

The initial configuration for 76mm-armed M4s was the single hatch commander's cupola and split hatch for the loader. The PSC M4A3(76mm)W is therefore correct. As Big P said, the M4A3E8 had a small, oval hatch for the loader (the same as the one on the PSC 75mm turret), although early versions of this variant retained the loader's split hatch.

The Tiger looks quite nice. There will always be people who prefer the Zimmerit moulded on, but to me it's not much of an issue in 15mm. I bet this is a popular kit!
