O'no no no. They were NOT remains in play spells. They could simply be dispelled in the opponents magic phase.

If butchers use an alkali to neutralise the acid in their body, then they can withstand any acidic poison. However skeleton's bone can be dissolved by acid.

Oddly enough, the butchers isn't immune to all poison anymore. He's just not autowounded by poison anymore.
What's the difference you ask?
