I wouldn't play with nagash as you have probably seen I have a tendancy to overpower and undercost my characters so if I played with the god of the undead god knows what would happen (Ahhh see what I did there? )

Sorry i didnt read past the first couple. They were bashing it pretty hard. I did read the most recent stat and it looks fun. I agree that nagash wouldnt be unplayable. But we can try...

Reading the whole thread, or at least reading a little of all of the posts, is essential to beneficial conversation.

We could. I'd ask what the point is, though. There's fun, then there's fun, and then there's that. Like trying to field Nurgle. He has 2,000,000 Wounds and at the beginning of each turn, everyone else dies of diseases. And he costs -500pts.

Thanks for the advice Warp! Im soooo glad you decided to comment!
Off topic, I think there is a market for fielding "gods" or this thread wouldnt exist. If GW or FW made a model and rules for nurgle or any other chaos god i would consider buying/fielding any of them.
Awful sorry i stop reading the posts (not actually heehee) I thought the orig was fun, OP, but he put a lot of time into it, and others blasted it. So i stopped reading. Hope you understand?
I know youre going to turn this around on me but i just dont care. I was responding to the orig post which i thought was good. I liked the fluff and stats. It sucks that a bunch of tools convinced him to nerf his own character.

I think you and me would get on well! I would definitely buy the chaos gods if they came out. I think the thing that I love most about warhammer is when massively powerful characters are released, they just make the game feel more...well EPIC!

@Ineedvc2500: I'm not saying you should read the other posts because other people's opinions are more right than yours, just so that you can avoid saying what's already been said, or stake a claim in a debate that's been concluded, or something like that.

"he put a lot of time into it" --that's actually a good point. I usually judge a new character, rule, etc. by how much time I'd have put in. But a lot of people type a thing delete it, re-write it, and all that, resulting in more effort for a similar result. It's a good thing to keep in mind; even a poor suggestion (not saying this one was, necessarily) can be the result of a lot of work. Acknowledging that should be part of critiques.

Did you read far enough to see my suggestion of the original character's price? I understand that some people like to build up their Mega-characters, but I ask those people to pay the appropriate amount for them. And I'm confident that the price I suggested is fair.

A lot of people don't like this take on gaming, and I'll admit, I am one of them. But of that population, I'm one of the few who's willing to defend these kinds of character's right to exist and be made. Have fun however you want (it's fun, after all!). Just don't expect me to play against it.

@BaconUprising: Epic-ness is indeed a huge part of Warhammer (second only to the overwhelming-to-the-point-of-comic sense of dark hopelessness), I want monsters to see more play. Elven princes riding dragons and all that good stuff!
Still, part of an Epic battle for me is having a huge army, hence why I favor Skaven. There's nothing quite like watching ten men get surrounded by a hundred and make their desperate stand!

Couldn't agree more! That's why I hate cannons so much!

I started a thread about suggestions on what to do about them, actually. The most popular suggestion thus far is: Large Targets take D3 Wounds instead of D6.

If GW did that I would be so happy. I would love to return to the days when you could actually field a dragon!
