I know my local B&M has been carrying Zombicide (though I think they're waiting on a restock) and Dreadball - two successes there, then?

Oh, I'm not implying it's the first success. It's just good that the purpose of the Kickstarter was fulfilled. Oftentimes, Kickstarters feel like glorified preorders of a one-shot product that is eventually forgotten.

My copy of Zombicide (from a retailer) arrived 2 days ago. Now I just need to figure out where to get more figures from... and where I can get good proxies for the KS-exclusive survivors.

That would make a good civilian model for Infinity (some guy in a power loading, picking up AT-43 crates )

That's perhaps one of my favorite models yet! The details and accuracy to the artwork are impressive..

all of that has to be done by CMON both as they are the project creators.

Mike hasn't been giving CMON updates, I've been in contact with them frequently.

How would he be giving them updates? They are handling the production.

Either way, someone could whip out a fething update once in awhile, I agree.

This guy and his converted amigos are going to be sentinels in my Catachan army for sure.

I don't know who's to "blame" (since both CMON and McVey seem to pass the buck back and forth) but regardless, it would be nice to get updates about things like this.

McVey could even do it via his own forum if there are difficulties in updating via CMON.

How come no one complains that the pilot is exposed? Anyone else that does a similar model gets hated on....

The Aphid Suit on this model is pretty much an homage to the Work Loader in Aliens. It's a weaponized piece of construction/maintainence equipment.

Sedition Wars already has the "Gnosis Armor" which is essentially combat gear.

It's still essentially a forklift with a gun attached to it.

This isn't "other models". This is this model. Nobody has complained.

What's up with the exposed pilot? That's just silly...

Quite simple. The kind of models where we object to that, are models which are meant to represent vehicles/suits *meant* for combat. This thing decidedly isn't.
As absolutionis says, it's construction gear with a gun taped to it's frame. Homage status was the wrong half of that post to narrow in on; that hardly matters (although it makes it logical enough in aliens as well). It's actually really cool to see a model of, let's say, a large-scale improvised weapon like this (and really, to get back on topic: I like this thing WAY more than I thought I would. that frame on the front is going to be hell in production/bending into shape in all likelihood though.)

Seriously guys? It has a roll cage! That's all I wanted on the other, and it satisfied me here, too

I think that's a tremendously well-executed model. Looks a lot better than the artwork too. Looking forward to receiving that.

I think the hate was directed at the original artwork...over a year ago. By now, all we feel is a simmering disappointment.

Exposed mecha pilots are a pox on our collective imagination. So, so stupid.
