I finished the paint job on the last battlesuit and I decided to adjust the paint. I took off one of the white stripes to make more asymmetrical and look less like an orange circus tent.

Hello Mr Nobody,

Like the conversions...

I don't want to tell you how to do things. But,the tau skin gets lighter with age. Secondly, maybe adding some highlights to the edges of your models might help them pop on the battlefield.

Private message teal or wolf16. They do a lot of Tau work, they've helped me build a dynamic looking army.
Keep up the good work though!

The models are already highlighted. Perhaps I need to use a lighter orange.

I absolutely love your DIY space marine chapter, what is that colour I'm seeing on those mate? I can't work out how you did it. I created my own space wolves chapter also, so much fun trying something new. Well done, enjoying your posts

The dark spots are mechanicus standard grey, the lighter grey is dawnstone and the highlighting is done with fortress grey.

My crisis suits are completed! Here you go.

And a nice action shot.

Unfortunately, I'm running out of models and until I pay off school, no buying more models. Hopefully thats only another month.

On Nimbosa, cramming as many guardsmen into troop carriers as possible.

Love the pulse cannon conversion and the new jetpacks!

So it's my birthday tomorrow and my father decided to get something for my hobby. Didn't see it coming actually.

Not sure what I'll use it for yet, maybe my Tau so I can get some nice, clean line.

I bought the new sternguard box and I'm working on the sergeant. I've shaved down the mohawk to like this helmet.

I've finished my sergeant, giving him a power sword and a gravity pistol. I thought the gravity guns weren't quite distinguishable enough, so I added some tubes to make it more unique.

I've finished building the squad and this what I've got. One thing I didn't like is that the hands are now connected to the gun, which makes changing weapons more difficult.

Here's some more progress. I've used my airbrush to give my models a grey basecoat. I've also tried painting on some damage with mixed results.

I really like the orangeish red and white tau quite a bit. bizarre pattern but definitely unique! Now as for this fellow up above me, since it appears to be your first airbrush mini, no sense in pulling punches.... It essentially comes across as a grey primered mini with a few details picked out. I do quite like the orange spot color you chose (seems like one of your favorite colors to paint). But the rest of the mini seems to lack everything else. Id have spent more time painting things like the rope and tabard. Also perhaps yet a second layer of a lighter color could have been airbrushed, using a zenithal style (a light source from directly above), as in, youd spray from straight down directly above the model. Then hand pick out the rest of the extreme highlights by brush. You certainly have the painting skills to do so! Normally id be less objective but as it stands, were here for constructive criticism so... Keep at it!!! Heres a link to a new plog that is FANTASTIC. This guy is an airbrushin maniac and his minis are a mix of airbrush/brush...take a look for some inspiration!

I may be committing threadnomancy at this point, but I haven't touched my models for two months. Time to get back on the horse. I've been told that the models look a bit plain, so I'm adding some colour to the cloth.

I wanted to go with something this colour.

Spoiler:

It's adds colour while still keeping a more drab appearance. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any paints that match this colour, so I attempted to get an approximation with some layering and drybrushing. I think it's pretty close.

These were my results. Also, does anyone know how to paint silver?

I've finally gotten around to the hobby again and had some pathfinders floating around. I wanted to make a commander that looked a little more high tech. I'll write some background about being dedicated to detection and communication.

I added a wire to a hand-held device. I also took the binoculars and attacked it to the head.

I've recently noticed that the Tau railgun doesn't have a scope on it. Now the logical explanation is probably that the helmet does all the work. I didn't like that, so I added something to the rifle to modify the user's vision. I thought about making it hardwired but changed my mind.
