I'd imagine the bugs would have a hard time up against the Death Guard and all their chem munitions.

LOL, I told my son that when I finish my Death Guard, we're going collection v. collection ... Death Guard vs. Tyranids. Now if i could just get Mortarion before then.

How many points of each do you have?

I should end up with about 4000 points of Death Guard and maybe 7000 points of Tyranids.

After picking up some of the new Tyranids, I should have closer to 7000 points of Tyranids

Squad of 5 Death Shroud terminators more or less done. Just waiting on some Silflor flowers to arrive at my LGS and I need to lay down some powders on their feet and on their back vents. So not totally done, but I got so excited to get to this point, I had to post.

That give me 4 complete squads now: Assault Marines, Recon Marines, Cataphractii Terminators, and the Death Shroud.

Next up may be a Land Raider or the rest of the bikes ... or the new Tyranids I just picked up ... or my new talon of Contemptors. Yikes!

I prefer the look of Mk IV armor. After painting the breachers, I am very happy that I made that decision.

Ah excellent. More of your wonderful Death Guard.

Morty looks fantastic. The pale grey skin suits him perfectly. And the blue along the scythe blade also looks quite fetching.

I like the really clean lines on the jet bikes. I don't normally associate neat and clean to the DG so the clean straight lines add an interesting element to the models.

The breachers are Mark III and painting all the trim and pin washing all of the rivets was very time consuming.

Yeah, seem to break all sorts of conventions when it comes to my Death Guard. Next project on the table are my Sicaran battle tank and Legion Medusa.

true but my philosophy is if im paying the exorbitant amount FW charges i want the nicest most detailed one there are offering for that money!!
but hey to each their own they still look awesome regardless

this is my Salamander Pyroclast MkIII armor and i must say it was worth the time and energy put into it ...(If you dont want me to post photos on ur thread PM me and ill remove them srry)

Not at all. Post away. I always like to see what other people are doing. I just prefer the aesthetic of the Mk IV armor more than the II or III.

Next up in the painting queue: Legion Medusa and Sicaran Battle Tank. Here they are after some edge highlights and preliminary sponging of black and brown for some grime.

I started with the turret for my pin washes. The picture is pretty shiny due to the gloss coat of varnish that is applied prior to the pin washes.

nice weathering effects!! quick question on a scale from 1 to 10 how hard was assembling the medusa...i love FW tanks but after i finished my Legion Sicarian i was deterred from doing more, becasue i think the pieces either fit or they were morphed during transit and i think mine was the later

coming along great bud!

Compared to the Sicaran, it was more difficult, but then the Sicraran goes together very nicely. The only hard part were the top panels, and only because there are like 3-5 pieces that interlock together, so it was tricky getting everything glued and making sure parts didn't shift. Some clamps or an extra pair of hands make this much simpler of course. I left the gun off so that I could get to the interior. I won't magnetize it, but you should be able to swap this out with the earthshaker cannon pretty easily.

Next stage of the Sicaran done. Gloss varnish and then brown wash from MiG applied over rivets and lines.

yes, there is a magnet in the top and bottom of the mount. The main guns are magnetized to the turret as well.

Legion Medusa/Basilisk and Sicaran Battle Tank done. Got some minor clean up to do, but it's time to move on. The gun on the Medusa isn't glued in, so I can change it out. Need to paint the heavy bolter option for the Sicaran. Time to move onto my tac marines, Grave Wardens, or Fire Raptor ... or Tyranids ... or Malifaux ...

Jealous that Horus is Warmaster

Behind you

Very nice but, as a death guard player I find them more fun and better looking off white dirty cream like they look in hh book 1. But if you want them to look clean your opinion. Fluff wise they keep superficial damage as battle markings.
