Thanks! I'd love to see some paint on them, but I haven't seen anything from the client yet.

Finished my brother's Squiggoth. He's painting it up right now - can't wait to see it finished!

If you haven't seen my brother's Warseer log, he's making great progress on painting the Squiggoth and i'm thrilled with how it's coming out. Take a look!

I'm also working on Chapter Master Ekene Dubaku for the Celestial Lions client. He had a few requirements from the fluff: flaming sword, Ork skull, bolt pistol, Imperial Fist relic armor, lion iconography, and bionic limbs on the left side. He sent the bits and I made the guy. Still needs a left shoulderpad and a base, plus a bit of work sharpening up the sword flames with a scalpel. The left shoulderpad will have the Celestial Lions Chapter symbol, which I've sculpted and am making a cast for.

A while back my brother finished painting that converted Squiggoth I made for him. You can see his project log here.

Tallarn guy also commissioned me to make the Taurox into a 6-wheeled Tallarn vehicle. Here it is right before priming. Probably 2-3 more of these on the way soon, for a little fleet of them.

I'm thinking that an identical one, with a Catachan out the hatch, might make a nice addition to my personal army...

Sorry everyone for all the dead photo links... apparently the image hosting site I've been using for the past 10 years finally conked out. I'm now forced into using Photobucket, even though I really dislike it.

A while ago I posted a converted wheeled open canvas-backed Taurox for a commission client's Tallarn army. He liked the prototype and ordered three more, so here's the convoy in progress.

As happy as I am with the final products, this commission felt like it took forever - probably because I had a bunch of personal things I'm really excited about on my desk, staring at me the whole time!

Here's the caravan all lined up:

Gunners poking their heads out:

One Taurox, showcasing the plasticard armoring and rivets:

There's more I'd do to touch them up in an ideal world, but I've already poured way too many hours in for the dollars I'm getting in return. The hardest part of commission work is often knowing when to stop! Now, though, there's a good chance I'll go blow a bunch of the money I made on a Taurox of my own, converted up exactly the same - I really like the way the wheels and canvas back look, and think it would be perfect for my Catachan. My Grenadiers with Meltaguns could certainly use a dedicated ride instead of having to bum the Command Squad's Chimera all the time...

Loving the paint work on those Taurox!!

Why don't you use the Dakka gallery instead of photobucket to put up your images

Thanks! As for the image gallery, didn't even know it existed - but now I've already committed to using Photobucket, so I'll stick it through until it starts giving more problems.

Tallarn guy wanted some quick-and-dirty terrain:

They're based on MDF and use real rocks, so they've got a real nice heavy feel to them.

One of my friends who was just up for a big 40k gaming weekend left me her Mansions of Madness miniatures to paint, and I'm probably going to put them on 40k bases so she can also use them as a 40k Daemons of Chaos army.

The models, even after being mounted on 40k bases, will still fit on the bases needed for the Mansions game. Plan is to have magnets so they can be popped on or off, depending on the game being played at that moment.

I'm not too familiar with Daemons as an army list, but I want to give her a good list at the 500-1000pt mark. Would anybody be willing to offer listbuilding advice? Here's the model options (grouped by similar sculpts):

- 1x large monster (Greater Daemon or Daemon Prince)
- 1x large monster (Greater Daemon or Daemon Prince)
- 2x large monster (Greater Daemon, Beast of Nurgle or Juggernaut)
- 2x medium monster (Beast of Nurgle, Spawn or Fiend of Slaanesh)
- 4x small winged monster (Screamers of Tzeentch or Flamers of Tzeentch)
- 1x small monster (Herald)
- 11x robed priests (Pink Horrors of Tzeentch)
- 11x various human/zombies (Plaguebearers of Nurgle)
- 2x succubi (Herald of Slaanesh)

I'll be communicating the Daemon's allegiances mostly through color choice, so I have some leeway in choosing what each model represents. Any advice using the models above for a 500pt list and a 1,000pt list?

Here's all the bases I have with monsters on (they army is more than twice this size in total). Will be ordering more bases soon for the rest of the figures.

Not done, but it's a start. Just ordered the rest of the necessary bases. Really enjoyed painting the worms (Choas Spawn with Mark of Slaanesh) in particular!
