Doesn't really look like a photo - looks more like it's been coloured on the 3d editing tool..?

or a gak photoshop mock up ? :/

Doing a mockup in photoshop etc is fine - just don't call it a photo There are too many stretched perspectives and traces of the clone stamp tool.

It's not a mock up in photoshop, it's a photo that was taken in my living room but all signs of my living room have been removed.

For those who still doubt I have a prototype made -

The Detolf stand has now been added to the KS as reward but in MDF only.

The first photo is admittedly edited. While I understand the reasoning and intention, I still contend it looks more like a mock-up due to the uneven editing. For all intents and purposes - if the picture looks off, that is what I am getting from the picture regardless of it's origins and intentions and I doubt that's something you want.

I'm sorry if I sound harsh - my point being that it's important that you present your product in the best way possible. The proper untouched second photo is miles better than the edit and noone would argue that it is a photo (even if were a render). It looks really good on your bench.

That is a nice concept. Its simple.
I'll offer my 2 cents on what i would do.

For me personally to buy one of those, i would need more room at home. I reckon that is a big issue for many gamers. Hence i would like to see your product more compact with the option of having pull-out shelves. Simply a combination of the 2 shelf systems you have pictured where it transforms from one into the other could be an example.

There would be significant cost increases im sure. It would also be awesome if it came with a nice cabinet, where the customer gets a luxury product. people will pay for it if the product is worth it

But thats just me thinking big and maybe it will spark some new idea. Good luck with the product!

How heavy is this, and is this something we would want to take to a tournament. To display or put it in that cabinet you guys talked about?

I'll get a weight for it later today but it's not that heavy when flat packed.

Final parts arrived so I was able to get the bare frame put together.

Oh and a Cavalry shelf.

I'm also going to be adding the option to buy individual components via the kickstarter so that people can customise their display.

This is what I was thinking. Give a pledge that says "you get 2 sides, all the bits to put the stand together and you pick the shelves from x,y and z choices. Then I could could pick the all terminator slots for my GK army or something that would fit flight bases or skimmer bases and be able to customize for what I am after.

It does look real nice, as I said offer it for the 30/40/50 mil bases and you nearly double your audience. Same with the stand choices.
