Time for the promised update on the 'Crab' hoist.

Here is the prototype:

Final model will be slightly redesigned to stiffen the structure and to simplify assembly.

Given the medium, that looks absolutely fantastic. What's the price point likely to be?

Well of course it's a walking eye! The benefits of a walking eye are many and clear!

Cool design, but it really *should* be a hexapod A quadruped with that limb layout would have a very hard time moving without toppling over, much less if was carrying cargo...

Still, cool stuff. Can't wait to visit the webstore when it comes online...

Valete,

I hope in the distant future they invent something like gyroscopes and self-levelling servomachines ;-)

Joking aside, we're hard at work administering our webstore and it takes a bit longer than we would like. Until it opens the new designs will show up sporadically, but to sweeten up the wait there will some promotions during the opening. One of which will be a free strictly limited and numbered model for the first 50 registered buyers. We will show the model design soon.

Cheers

Greetings.

We had a little break from the forums working hard on our web store and (fingers crossed) it should be open this week.

As I've mentioned before there will be 47 free robot models for first customers (pictures below) all with unique numbers.

There were supposed to be 50 but one (No.50) stays with us and No.1 and No.2 will be given away on Facebook - due to a misprint they can only be assembled in a closed version. One is going to a foreign fan and one to polish fan - be on the lookout for posts, they should be coming soon.

My problem with MDF is that it always looks so boxy. You can immediately tell it's MDF, and that's a bit offputting. Curved bits to break up the silhouette are essential. Your barrack is a great example of this, with a relatively small detail like the curved roof supports making it a lot more appealing.

Wow, that's some really cool stuff! It would go well with Infinity.

Check out www.data-sphere.net, where the Infinity community looks for their terrain needs (official forums only allow official partners to post).

I'm sure it's appreciated if you show it off there!

Excellent news - I hope you guys do really well. You might want to put a link to the website into your sig to encourage casual clickers,

Is there any way you can look at getting cheaper shipping? I was going to order the upgrade kit as an initial foray but I'm afraid the shipping has made it somewhat cost-prohibitive for me.

We will look into it for smaller orders.

Keep an eye out.

I've placed my first order, looking forward to getting painting. As above, a postage reduction would help future orders flow

Good luck for the future

Thank you for your support - we're producing the stuff and will ship it as soon as it's ready.

A little update on what you can expect soon in the store.

Also some experimentation we did with flexible material

Still needs to go through painting session to see how it's holding up against a couple of layers of washes and such.

Some really nice stuff there, but shipping is a bit on the spendy side.

Another idea would be to have the prices convert along with the language marker, because otherwise you need a currency converter up to check prices, which might put folk off.

Might make an order nonetheless, but figuring in the shipping could be a pain, especially figuring for a shifting exchange rate....

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

Thank you for the suggestion, I've added USD and GBP and you can choose it to check prices and pay in your preferred currency.

If you want to make an order the entry level is a bit steep but it scales better with bigger orders.

Will see how things go and maybe in the future we will offer free shipping with bigger orders (something in the area of 350$).

I like the apartments they have a nice design to them and are reasonably priced. The postage to the UK is pretty pricey though at least for small orders to try the product. Means I would probably go for some of the other UK based MDF Sci Fi terrain sellers because for the price of the shipping I could probably get an extra building.

Still wish you guys the best of luck and if I get the cash to put down an order that makes the shipping worth while I will certainly look into ording from you.

We've added cheaper shipping for smaller orders - please check it out if you were thinking about getting a sample.

Also we have a question for you:

Which one do you prefer?

The web store looks great, ZenTerrain, and the prices are excellent.

I can see why people would complain about shipping costs, but I imagine you'd get a lot of 3mm HDF in a Kilo. So get the most for your money folks, and buy all the things!

When my Infinity starter set arrives, I'll be throwing some money your way.

Not as much as you'd like.

MDF is heavy.

I'll likely still be making an order when my paycheck rolls around though

Why is it if you click the American Flag the costs are in Euros? Small parcel shipping prices arent bad, but you're screwed if you want to order a bunch
