Update!! I have started on my Sword Knights!! Heres a pic of my first one:

Damn now I need to buy a pink paint! and I have started to place my models on one of my chest of drawers, turn my table lamp on and point it at the model, and rest my phone on the chest of drawers as well, so better lighting, and no shaking hands

Update: I wont be able to update this blog with pics of my amazing sword knights for a while as I need 4 paints for the 4 different sword knights (Bright orange, bright red, bright yelow and bright pink (curse you soulcow)) and I refuse to start another model while I have an unfinished unit so...stay strong in my absence my loyal peons.

Update (kinda)! I now have decided to splurge on some accesories, so I am buying some wreck markers and a token set!

Well after a lot of effor and mistake I finished the final sword knight...its crud and I hated it, but its done and now my unit is done till I buy extra models for a 10 man unit (If anyone has ideas for colours I would greatly appreciate it)

Heh, I've been very idle the last time, and I see you updated quite a bit during that time ^^
These last pictures are very clear.
Are you still sure you use washes? It seems the metallics really could use some depth. And like the creases on the shoulderpads (the last pic of the orange knight is very clear), I think a wash should define those very easily. I'm not sure you've applied it there ^^ Just make sure you don't use a pure black wash, you can mix in some blue(only for silver/metal) or brown(both gold/metallics) to make the metallic a little dirtier or clearer.
If you've applied the wash maybe you just dind't hit all areas and that I'm just focussing on those ^^
Anyways, nice updates, keep 'em coming, you're doing better than me :p

I use a pure black wash...or as black as citadel sells anyway

Should I use my Brown wash instead? or mix my black and brown from now on?

You don't need to necessarily, it's just an idea.
But look at your final stormknight (orange ponytail), the creases on his shoulders arent as dark as you would expect. Do you hit those areas with your wash aswell?

Well I tried...but after ALL but ONE of the bristles on my brush I use for washes fell off...I sorta gave up.
I'll buy a new brush soon and give it another wash and post pics
Side note, with stripping do I just fill a bucket with my liquid (all purpose cleaner in this case, apparently it works) leave the models in over night then take a toothbrush to them? (I got some really really cheap menoth from ebay I wanna paint)
