Cool!
However to be accurate, we're still 5 bucks away from $30 worth of droids. Not complaining though. This was a great deal long before any stretch goals were reached!

I've been in other kickstarters that were more "exciting", but I'm not sure I've ever pledged for a kickstarter where I was more sure of what I'd be getting, that it would be delivered in a timely manner and that it would be useful in my gaming.

Salvage Crew Workbench updates

With less than 30 days remaining, The Salvage Crew Kickstarter and Road Kill Corpses limited edition set will be ending on the last day of this month. As of this posting, the project has over 160 supporters. Check out the “UPDATE” section where I will be posting workbench images of molds and casting production of the more than 27 science fiction 28mm metal figures you can receive when you pledge $30.

Awesome! I was hoping to get another one of those mini droids. I wouldn't be surprised if this makes it to 10k, but if it doesn't I'm already more than pleased.

A buddy of mine just painted up 6 of the figs that are in this kickstarter.  I put up a blog post about them and 3 other salvage crew type figs that he painted up for me.

And has been pointed out, this make an excellent starter set of models for a game of the (newly-kickstarted) Paranoia! Loyal troubleshooters, mutants and lunatics, and over-zealous security bots.

I don't know where he's getting his metal from, but it's clearly at a better rate than some manufacturers are complaining about!

Also, it's not just about metal costs, time is a factor also. A bunch of nearly identical kickstarter orders are much faster to cast and deliver en-masse than many varied orders. This is especially true for a small company MegaMinis/JohnnyBorg who used to do much of their casting on-demand as figures were ordered.

But yes, it's an amazing deal.
