They've acknowledged that they're looking at alternatives (the upcoming at some point Convergence battle engine is supposed to be a new kind of plastic) but nothing yet, however at least they seem to be listening to complaints which is more than some other companies do[i][b], even if said companies have better plastics....
emphasis mine (mantic, you jerks).
The mold lines are PUT in the worst places, that's the main issue. I mean, at least with Warders, WGRC, etc. Also, as far as "looking into it", the Gatormen Posse looks great. Personally, I think a blanket statement/ press release would fix all of this type of discussion.

In regards to their customer service, I actually prefer GW's. If I got a bad cast or my box was missing something, I could go to the GW store around the corner and get a whole new kit for free. Then I would just source the bit from eBay and have 2 kits for the price of one (along with not having to wait 1-2 weeks for replacement kit). I'm glad they're replacing the part but that's expected, they aren't exactly going above and beyond here.

Your point? What if I told you there are people who cannot do that with GW due to not having a local store?

In that case GW would mail out a whole new kit rather than just a spare part. Either way you're getting a free kit for your troubles instead of just the replacement part.

So, in other words, you like GW's service more because you can rip them off easier and for more value.

I'm ripping them off by asking them to replace a part I paid for and didn't receive?

PP has a parts replacement service on their website thats only there for replacing missing parts. And while they do ask for pictures they do not require them.
I've gotten about a dozen replacement parts and they've never asked for any proof I was short changed. I've just said "hey, I got a pVlad and he's missing his card." or "My vengers were missing 3 pauldrons"

They have even sent me missing parts for models that I have gotten used. After I emailed them asking how to get a part when it was unavailable on there parts store. The customer service rep sent me one at no charge.

No, you're ripping off GW by, effectively, paying for one model and receiving 2 for that one model's price plus a little extra to some 3rd party.
There is nothing wrong with legitamatly claiming a missing piece and expecting the manufacturer to replace it. There is something wrong when you expect the manufacturer to replace the whole model as recompense for you missing one piece.

My first experience with PP was largely the same. Bought the Convergence of Cyriss starter. Jumbled pieces in bags, no instructions of any kind, horrible mold lines and bits from where theyd been cut off the mold/sprue/whatever, several warped pieces.
It was also my last experience with PP.

CoC starter box was effed up from the jump. PP will replace that I believe. I have emailed and called Mantic about 5 times now about my Goblin Spitters without a single reply.
I also got cards for free. I traded with a guy who forgot to tell me he lost some cards. I didn't expect them too, but I asked PP and they sent me stuff (I was already ordering a classic Pureblood anyway).
I've done the "this finecast Archon is CRAP" thing before and got a replacement from the GW store. They didn't want the crap model back, and I didn't want it either, but I had two for the price of one, soooooo I basically feel like a wall street dude now.

I didn't expect GW to replace the whole model, that's just how they do business. It's called good customer service. When a restaurant royally screws up your food, you typically get your meal comped and a gift card for a future visit. They do this so you continue to spend money there in the future. GW does things the same way. I submitted my ticket on the 22nd with PP and still haven't heard back from them. Once again, if this were GW I would've already had the whole kit replaced by now. Apparently you've never run a business or worked in customer service. When you do something to wrong a customer, you don't just give them whatever you screwed up. You do something else to make up for your mistakes and lack of QC so you don't lose a customer.

Shame, COC is a great faction to play.
PP need to step up their plastic quality though.

They quite often don't get back to you at all - they just send out the part.
