Dwarf Rangers - complete set is now on my Shapeways Shop!

As I just managed to export the file for Shapeways, the third and last Dwarf Ranger is now available on my Shop
The three dwarves are multypart miniatures for the 28-30mm scale games so each one will be tall about 25-26mm once assembled. All the body parts can be swapped between them thanks to the balljoints, there are no limits of posing in this way.

In my Shapeways Shop you can buy the three dwarves separately, or save some money with the set of three dwarves! Don't miss them

We received Frosted Ultra Details model from Shapeways some days ago and I'm super happy with them!
In hands the models looks super detailed, but we are not very good photographer unluky!

We tried to make some photos but it's not easy, we will try again during the sunlight.
The Frosted Ultra Detail material from Shapeways is really detailed, but as it's trasparent is hard to make nice pictures with it.
We made a fast black primer coat on top of it but we realized that take pictures of black miniatures is super hard, and pointing the light to it create this strange rough effect.
If you have some suggestion please let us know

Spray it white then hit it with a black wash. It will be easier to see the detail of the model then.

DAAAAMN you're good.

I just returned to working as a sculptor for miniatures after nearly 30 years (things happened).

I did work as an architectural sculptor, making fancy pieces for houses and furniture for about 12 years, from 2001 until just the last summer.... But my boss changed business plans, and it put me out of a job (he now just mixes and matches pre-sculpted parts in a software package - basically everything I and the other sculptors did for him over 15 years, putting us all out of work).

But he did give us all full licenses to a bunch of expensive software.

I got a Mudbox License (I lost the coin toss for ZBrush).

I has a post on the forum with some goblins/Orcs I am doing

I have a very different style from you, which is more purist, and less stylistic, but in would say you are probably MUCH better than am I.

It would be nice if you could take a look at the Goblins I am working on to give me your critique of the work so far.

Well, I am definitely looking forward to seeing some Orks from you.

I am really tired of the comedy Orks and Goblins from GW and their imitators. I like the ones from the Elder Scrolls, the Lord of the Rings movies, and the "Orks" from Scale 75. The ones that I am working on designing are more like these.

~Eric

Have you seen my WIP Orcs (currently calling them "Goblins" as that is what the miniatures they are modeled after are called)?

They are intended to be modeled after the work of Tom Meier, and are closer to the LotR Orcs... And they are definitely not the GW comic styled Orcs.

You can take a look in the attachments at:

New Goblin Miniatures (Hopefully to extend the line that Tom Meir hasn't - img hvy)

Shown are only three In Progress models out of a total of 20 (40 eventually) that I am doing.

Only, like the OP... I cannot work on them full time.

Also, I have a very different style and workflow than the OP, you will need to be familiar with Tom Meier's work to get an idea of what they will be like when finished.

Thanks all for the nice comments
I did some other shots on the black painted miniatures from Shapeways (with brush, not spry). The color is pretty thick, covering some details, but that's surely better of a colored version by me... I'm so unskilled at painting miniatures ...
So you can see the other two multypart dwarves (they can be mixed togheter as they have balljoints) and some gargoyle shots.

You can buy them here, every model is already available:

For the moment I'm really busy with my main job at RH, so there will be not new miniatures to expand my personal line in the next few weeks. I'll update any time I have some new work in progress or finished models.
Cheers!
