#1 Do not say anything, Be exact invite them back over sooner the better.
#2 Talk to the child and tell him you want to see his favorite toy in the world and you will show him yours.
#3 Place all the pieces on your model in a box.
#4 When he comes back over with Favorite toy look at it walk out side and hulk smash it on the side walk.
#5 Hand him the box and tell him this was my favorite toy.

Then he will know and appreciate the value of other peoples things.

This would be fantastic lol! Ive cooled down quite a bit and contacted his parents they are going to refund me. ALL IS NOT LOST!

But to top off my night, I found out my "loyal" girlfriend has also been taking a stroll down "hey lets cheat on Ben with multiple guys lane"

Man, I wouldn't let them bring the kid again until the model was paid by and for some years on. What kind of child messes up with other people's stuff without asking first? Be sure to tell your cousins that. They're lacking some education skills.

DO NOT let them feth around with the repayment of the model, so many people do this... Tell them it's a limited edition model with stock that runs dry by the month, they are adults and can find the money to repay their lack of supervision of their child

I am so very sorry.

My opponents "accidentally" break my models all the time. My war shrine will never be the same again :(

I would definitely ask them to pony up about 150 bucks for time/paints/the model. If they decline, tough luck.

If you happen to have renter's insurance and he broke a ton of your models, you can most likely get them replaced. Although, it really matters how much he broke.

Aftermath can be calculated.

At least they offered to pay back, OP. I've heard of horror stories like this before; Guy's ex goes nuts, burns his WHFB collection worth over 500GBP, goes to court, judge waves him off "Plastic men can't be worth that much", only manages to squeeze a £100 for destruction of property after weeks of pressure.

yeah...thats a serious deal. Parents will pay to avoid the shame their child brings on them.

Most well raised kids aren't. My 4 year old doesn't even touch my stuff without asking, let alone someone else's that's on a shelf in a room without adults.

Hyper kids happen though and accidents do. Doesnt erase parent accountability but it does happen. So the parents just gotta cough it up.

Well least one part came out OK.

And yes old one is broken but could be restored to at least intact with some skill n time and a lot of luck. Vulkan may yet prove perpetual

The other part well glue n pins will defenitely not fix.

Hate it when parents don't properly supervise their children, my pet peeve is being in the pub [surely a place for adults?] and children are running around bumping into things, getting in your personal space and generally being annoying.

In your case, definitely the fault of the parents and they should pay for both the model and the time you spent on it, family or no.

In regards to the girlfriend, just be glad you found out what she was really like before you married her/bought a house with her. Better to be single than be with the wrong person.

You are out a decent chunk of walking money.
Call your cousin and tell him what happened.
I'd go further than the $105 though. You put a good amount of time into that.

Finally found my quote from a gym buddy born and raised in South Korea:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

Am I the only one with the morbid curiosity that wants to see the broken model? Picture please!

But seriously, picture could be good - get some collective repair advice and get Stan the man back on his feet (figuratively and literally).

No, but I felt it might be a little insensitive. ^^;

Also, this is why I like metal. Bits may break off, but a solid lump of white metal isn't going to go shattering anything except the floor. Plus, it's less prone to being worn away. My models will remember me when I am gone.

When something like that happens, I think the best course of action is the following:

1. Find out what would make you not pissed. Would a new Vulcan pro-painted by blue table or someone else soothe your anger ? Would you rather have one vulcan and another dude to compensate for your painting time and suffering ?

2. Tell them how they hurt you, and how they can make it up to you.

3. If they don't want to, resort to land mines and other options.
