The Far squeeker is a piece of skaven technology that is equivalent to a Telephone (both far squeeker and telephone essentially meaning distance noise [conveyor]).

The FarSqueeker is more analogous to the WWII backpack radio than an actual telephone. In the fluff, field units are even worn on the back of a designated Skaven trained in its use.

Either way, youve got to love Skaven ingenuity

There used to be a lot of 40k crossover with fantasy back when.

Sigmar was hinted heavily as being as Primarch, you could wind up with 40k weapons on your chaos guys via random tables, the world was re engineered by the Old Ones....

Zoats existed in both too. I miss zoats...

Gah, I hope not. There's almost a sanctity between the two, I don't even like how they 'implied' Draigo as the silver clad warrior, as if Draigo's lore isn't terrible enough. How can he lead the Grey Knights from the warp? Who's making the decisions on Titan if he's unreachable? GAH!!

I want my time back for reading this thread....

My soul was sucked out of my body for a few minutes there with this sort of evil.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

A mashup between fantasy and 40k would be pretty cool though like monsters e.g. chaos dragons, giants in the 40k universe

Tau problems?

It's funny hearing about the sanctity of the separate games when you used to have boltguns given as chaos gifts in fantasy and the overlap was fairly explicit. I wonder why GW went towards saying they were totally separate and that the fantasy world definitely wasn't in the Eye of Terror, are now appearing to swing the other way again. Just shows that the fluff is whatever they want it to be at any moment.

That actually doesn't hold much weight anymore given what was discussed in "Archaon" between Lileath(aka "The Lady of the Lake" to the Bretonnians) and a Bretonnian Duke who had the fact that Lileath essentially 'guided' Bretonnian society to evolve into what it was to act as a shield for Athel Loren revealed to him by Mannfred von Carstein.

Lileath discusses how she took the slain Knights and basically turned them into "mighty guardians" for a pocket dimension she created.

There is already a set of power armor available as magic items in Fantasy. Not like them teasing links is anything new... Beastmen and Squats are specifically mentioned in the 6/7E rulebook so they do exist currently.

I would totally agree except for this

"Araloth entered into the Realms of Chaos meeting a knight in silver armor who can shoot blue flames at demons (GK psy bolts?). Araloth completes his mission and sees the the knight wounded, saying he can never be killed."

Into the realms of chaos. not a pocket dimension.

Which, again, doesn't mean anything because the "mighty guardians" that Lileath created were not mortal but rather spirit.

Hell that pocket dimension was for all intents and purposes in the Realm of Chaos.

Don't worry.

Orks only get some love every 8 years or so, so you should have plenty of time...
