Well, in this respect I suppose for Apocalypse it is a case of that.

I was in a game where the Eldar player had so many dice that it literally was a case of rolling 40+ denial dice to block two spells. It's not fun, or amusing to be up against that kind of nonsense.

What were you playing 10k points? A three farseer 10 warlock list would only have 19 dice and would be fairly mediocre. To get 40 sounds made up

When talking Apoc, it's probably more likely to see 4-6+ Mastery Lv3's at the bare minimum. Hell, with Unbound being a thing, you could always just take nothing but Lv3 Farseers & Warlocks all on Jetbikes, if you really felt the need to be a giant donkey-cave...

fair enough, but i prefer GW focus on trying to balance the game around what the vast majority of people play at, (anywhere from 1250-2k) rather than some extreme example that has happened once to this guy. I actually play eldar and find farseers to not be very effective. I run a no psyker list with an autarch so i can manipulate reserves. The whole eldar summoning demons thing is a joke to me and shouldnt be allowed and the rest of the powers available to eldar are ok at best. Things like guide and prescience would be great for certain factions, but half the units in the eldar codex can be twin linked making those spells useless, Invis is obviously great but with no characters that get it standard like a couple other factions have, who builds a list around something like that. I guess i should point out though that im certainly not a top tourney player so i may just be talking out of my ass concerning the eldar powers.

For reference, it was 40K points per side, 80K points total game (including super heavy allowances).
