I could not disagree more. For 35 points, you get a HF, Dozer Blade, 2 Points of front armor and a ton of fire points. Repressors are better in almost every way than Immos/Rhinos and allow SOB something that almost no other army can do, AV 13 armor saturation in every slot.
They also are a huge force multiplier for Dominions, who normally have to disembark and die to do their job. Now, they can sit in safety and fire away, possibly getting multiple turns of fire.

As for drop pods, yes, they are awesome, but that requires a higher points level and/or allies.

Also, although I run SW with SOB all the time (one of the first that wrote about it, that I know of), keep in mind that BA (especially the Flesh Tearers) are a VERY good fit for SOB (the FT detachment allows 6 FA slots, so lots of pods).

Um. I thought repressors got nixed to 2 fire points? And AV 13 is rad. But the sides are still 11.
I dont argue that Repressors arent better. They just arent better enough. Dominions can shoot out of a rhino. . .

Also, my primary army is orks. We get a FW vehicle with av 13/12/10 with a TL Big shoota for 60, and can come in a squadron, meaning that my back vehicle is much more likely to deliver my orks to someones face. Much better.
Or battlwagons, with are 14/12/10 with 4 hullpoints and can tote 20, and as assault vehicle.
Repressors dont IMpressor

Why I said ally SW. Also, at 35 points thatll get your troops exactly where they need to be? Metter than a rhino in many cases.

Repressors have 2 plus three firing slots per side. So generally, 5 models can fire at a time. Considering Doms carry four weapons, Rhinos are sub-standard.

Considering I have had great success replacing rhinos/immos in my tournament armies with Repressors, I'll go by my experience.

Except then you're T3 models exposed. I like the drop pods, but they certainly have pros/cons.

Again, I run SW with my sisters right now and use drop pods, but I do not replace all my Repressors with them.

Oh, is that the new stuff? I knew they had updated it recently, but havent looked into it.

And fair enough, like I said earlier, everybody has their own gig. Like mine is orks. 'Cause they was made to fight, an' win.

I've been doing the first (HF Rets) but like my doms in repressors so they get a second shot. (And so I can get all three on turn one if I go first or outflank if I don't)

In my local group, my doms never get to turn 2. Nobody dumb enough to ignore that much melta up on their porch.

They're jumping out of their rides though, right? That doesn't help.

I also tend to go for threat overload with tons of units in their face. Something ends up living.

Not always. Lots of times I'll put them in a rhino too. Either way, Im good with them being a distraction.

One major difference between orks and Imperium players is the acceptance of the idea of disposable units. SM are too cool to die, or so the story goes lol.

Also: y'all are trippin. Drop pods? Any ork player would kill for those. But we dont get anything close. I'd be raining pods all day long with those boyz.

I have no problem with disposable units. I just don't think they have to die if it isn't necessary.
