From experience from both previous Kickstarters and working with them. As long as you don't plan on taking them apart for storage, assembling them for use then you can remove the tabs. After you seal the edges with superglue for support and strength, then glue the pieces together. The tabs themselves are easily shave off, pen the edge and then reseal with superglue.

We're only talking about $8 max (1x pledge level) or $10 max (2x pledge level) - I really don't think it is that big a thing, other than possibly the psychological benefit of knowing you've scored an EB?
I think I'd get a lot of use out of this - but the timing is terrible!
But then, it usually is when it comes to Kickstarters these days!

Yeah, there are entirely too many "good" kickstarters past present and near future. The balance on that card has been about the same + interest for most of this year because these freakin pledges keep = the payment. Then I hear there are standard retail releases etc.. *sigh*
The EB thing is mostly about saving every penny I can at the moment. I honestly wasn't going to back this because of other things going on financially but I have a little wiggle room and I know that I'll end up spending waaaay more than that on modern bulidings that will take me forever to get around to painting. I'm hoping they allow a cheaper option without the mat because again.. I really need to shave this down a lot, $8 on an EB, maybe another $8-10 or whatever if they allow a non-mat version.. then it gets more manageable. If I don't end up going this way, that company that partnered with Pulp City for terrain is going to be the way I go but again.. painting a full city.. erg..

Yeah, I dropped down to just throwing them a little love. The cost to do a 4'x4' gaming area is over $400. I can certainly appreciate people who can do that right now but I can get a 6'x4' 1" grid urban mat and a bunch of mdf buildings for well under that. I love what they're doing but the price point is outta my reach.

Yeah, I'll agree that it is expensive. But, for someone like me who has little time to build and paint a whole city block of buildings, this is a great deal. I wish I could afford one of the larger pledges, but I think I can make do with just the one. If I need to, I'll mix in some Deadzone or something.

I'm soo torn on this.
If they offer up the furniture as an add on I'm definitely getting some of that.
It's just the walls I'm still torn on, and specifically the windows.
The buildings look cool, like really cool but the majority of the windows are intact and as it's card you can't see through them.
Don't know if I'm the only person who cares about this (or has thought about this) but the joy of having really congested scenery like this is getting down to mini level and getting in their view. And this is going to be blocked for the most part by card windows.
There's a lot of glass fronted buildings there that you should be able to see inside.
I know why it's done the way it is (the keep it structurally sound) and if I wanted too I could cut out all the windows (such a ball ache tho).
I think it's a shame they couldn't be designed in a way that the windows could be prep inched to come out if you wanted them too without impacting the structure of the buildings.
Hell I'd then happily pay for some clear plastic windows to upgrade the set.
So will this annoy me more than the cool factor..............
P.s anyone who has backed able to find out the measurement of the road and pavement sections for me? Please

You havent been following the creator comments I assume...
From the creator:
All Walls with windows have the window on both sides so it lines up. ) Also almost all of them have the glass cut. So you can pop a bit out in mid game and have people shoot from the window etc
Sep 19 2015 on Battle Systems™ Urban Apocalypse Terrain
The widows have pop out parts, I've not shown it yet. Basically you can have them broken or unbroken. In game I have a survivor smash a window to shoot from. You can of course, just cut them and replace with clear plastic. I could half cut them, but this makes the pop out parts much harder to achieve. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks greywulf, I'll have a look through more of their comments
It's a little bit more tempting knowing that you can pop out part of the windows.
And it's a good idea, not sold yet tho.

I actually love this stuff. There's some great vids from their first campaign about marking the edges, supergluing the edges for added strength, and ideas about how to store the stuff efficiently. It's just sooo expensive, especially now since the canadian dollar has dropped so much thats its worth less than half of a british pound.

I think I'm in Love...
What Warpath pledge?
Holy crap. They took the scifi set, made the fantasy set better. It looks like they've done that again, another tier of awesome.
I watched all the videos they have up. The little short clips that make the floors readily removable... brilliant.
I'm gonna pump them for information, see if the Mars Attacks T road section potentially might match up with their mats. I'm scheming to see if I can cover a 4x4' board with one 2x2' section in Battlezones red brick scenery, and the other 3/4 of the board with two blocks and a third added-on mat. I suspect I will want a ton of addons, the fire and police stations are a great start IMO, and if they manage to come up with a game changer similar to the bunker walls/fantasy castle/fort...those tend to run half as much as another set too.
I was trying to avoid eye contact with this one but... damn. Watching the videos has made it super hard to ignore.

This terrain is beautiful, but I don't think I can justify the expense to cover an 8ft x 8ft gaming table, or even a 4ft x 4ft one.
In the mean time, I'm rooting for them, hoping the stretch goals will eventually double the original contents.

I keep watching hoping it'll make sense. I can skip the game mat and just use the buildings but even then, it's not where I'd like to see it for the type of thing it is. I know these guys can deliver but it's just not a great time for the amount of buy-in they're looking for :(

You're making it happen, well done )
So far we are having an amazing campaign. We have already produced and unlocked lots of FREE stuff and also the Police and Fire Station. We are only just over a week into the 30 day stretch and to have unlocked new content so early is a massive testament to how much work you have all done sharing this KS on forums, blogs, social media and your friends.
Our stats and analytics are showing us links from where peeps are finding out about us. We click the links and can see the comments you have made and its amazing the support. Please continue to do this, its really helping keep the campaign moving forward and this means will should see lots of great expansions before the close.
Thanks so much )
So what's just happened...
It's unlocked! The Fire Station is now available from our add-ons section. Many of you have already added it anyway (that's how it got unlocked) but if not just grab one now )
"They're coming in sarge"
So much goodness )
Stretch Goal 12 is now on the way...
Also available in green )
Yep, we have lots more free stuff to come for the next couple of stretch goals. This gives us time to work on the next Add-ons, lots of designing and making to do and the list of demands is growing )
Stretch Goal 12 will be unlocked at £105K
Stretch goal 13...
So more FREE stuff then, yep and SG 13 has more clutter for your minis to interact with and take cover behind. WE LOVE CLUTTER!!!
You get another one of the cool Road Barriers, essential for slowing down your enemies and generally a cool looking terrain item. Works Barriers are good too as they can be used in isolation and just placed randomly or you can line them up and block off sections of the road. Fence panels are full-on cover and like the Works Barriers can also be used together. Finally a couple of pallets, your more heroic minis can pick these up and throw them, but generally they are eye candy for the street or rooms that help bring the terrain to life and keep your head in the game.
Stretch Goal 13 will be unlocked at £???k
Hopefully in the next update we will shoot a little video to answer some more questions and maybe talk about how your terrain works in-game.
So... grab your Fire Station (if you have not already) and get ready for some more cool add ons coming soon.
Over & out for now
Colin & Wayne
Looks good to me, a nice big add-on and a couple of packs of freebies following it. Also sounds like they may be making a set-up with the new freebies included to show how much more you get, or at least it was commented upon.

There are too many good KS Campaigns right now - I'm thinking of doing the $1 thing on many too, on the hopes of upping later.

Well along with yet more freebies, their Art Deco expansion got unlocked. Take your game inside a mansion, seek out the evil mastermind, or maybe build a manor for your hero. However you choose to use it, these add-ons expand the variations of your urban apocalypse set immensely.
Oh and if you're wondering how to make your favourite games work on this terrain, whether they be measured movement or zoned , take a look at the video Battle Systems has released explaining how they do it.
They've also released a further add-on that will allow you to buy a city block in the pledge manager and get all the free stretch goals, useful if funds are really tight now but you want in, or if you are already in for 1, 2, 4, or 8 and would like more.

Still wishing they would add a non-gaming mat version of the core pledge. I have a 6'x4' urban mat and really don't need more. The transition mat does look nice though so kudos to them for that
