Wait for a week, then ally in the new Knight and shoot it with whatever Gigantanormous Cannon they stick on it.

I didn't see anyone put this and I'm a little surprised... but in terms of melee things that could take him out in the first round few options come to mind and I am here to present your answer.... Lukas the Trickster.... His "the last laugh" rule will still remove the WK I believe.

As for shooting just take grav cents in SW or BA drop pods with tons of libbys and hope for multiple invis.

Shooting is best. Soften it up with Grav weapons.

Its fast to where you'll never catch it with TH/SS terminators unless the Eldar player lets you though incompetence.

TH/SS terminators are depressingly ineffective anymore in general.

They've always had delivery problems. They could kill if they got into melee, but they always had issues getting there.

They're also specialized melee, not general. They lose to things like Ork Boyz because of lack of swings. For a model that expensive, you can't lose the Ork boyz and be considered "good".

Only if you're going super-duper nitpicky RAW and are arguing removed from play and removed as casualty are different (and I'd bet you'd get a hell of a debate out of YMDC about this is if already hasn't been done). GC only take D3 wounds from removed from play effects.

I thought Lukas' status bomb only worked in challenges, I'm assuming that a Wraithknight is not an independent character and therefore cannot be challenged.

That's actually a horrible counter, since best case the knight strikes at the same time (otherwise after the wraithknight) and costs 105 more points.

Incorrect. The range option has Concussion, so getting one wound through means you strike first.

6 shots, S7 AP2 vs T8
At BS4, 4 hits, 1.33 wounds, 0.88 wounds taken due to FNP. So, not the best odds.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Space Marine command squad on bikes. Since we're tailoring let's do it properly.

Command squad, 5 grav guns, 5 storm shields, 5 thunder hammers. 410 points but shooting can give you six to seven wounds before FnP, and the thunder hammers will give you about another four before FnP. If you get lucky you'll take it out in one round, and you do have the mobility to actually catch it.

The grav guns inflict concussive, so you will get to swing your hammers at the same time as it does.

2 Dreadknights are cheaper, and they'll probably win if they make it. As two different units, they can't possibly both be killed by the Wraithknight before one of them swings.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.
