Also had a thought last night, some of the newer kickstarters (Conan and blood rage in particular) have little rings that the miniature bases sit on to show units. They come colored in plastic, with Conan having yellow and red from what I remember. These might be an excellent addition to your range of offerings as you could place them on the models to show what status they are at currently to help gameplay be smoother and as quick reminders of dice colors to be used.

There is more simple. You put a plastic cover on your profile card and you use an erasable marker to mark the points of life. So you know in what state of health is the model. In addition, it eliminates the need for additional pieces on the table. The players practice this way.

I hope I'm not too out of place, but I read on some forums earlier that the resin minis done by Studio 38 were not very good. Too delicate and easy to break. (according to some of the buyers).
Are you using the same type of resin or is it more resilient now? I would love to buy the Khaliman faction but the resin minis are causing some concern.

I'm surprise...
I think we use same moulder than studio 38, and since we took over the game (for over a year and a half), we have no complaints on the resin.
Customers are pleasantly surprised by the fine engraving. Now you must know that the resin is more fragile than the plastic figures of kraken starters, but the level of detail is not comparable.

The card cover is fine for the player holding the card, but I always find it nice to be able to quickly identify which of my opponents figures are already hurting without having to ask them which guy is wounded?

I've got my colossius assembled primed and even a few colors on him. So far the models I've picked up have very little in flash or mold issues. Very similar in quality to all my forgeworld models. The resin seams to be the same quality as well. It's no more brittle than the forgeworld stuff. I think where there may have been complaints about brittleness is from the excellent detail on the models and the sculptor not sacrificing quality of model by increasing size of hands, chains and weapons to make the model easier to cast. The colossius is a great example of this with how the chain on his weapon is consistent, and there is a lot of flexibility at that area. I could see it breaking if players are careless with the figure, but I've held the model by that part alone while painting it with no problems.

@chinkster, like I mentioned the resin seems as strong as the forgeworld resins. I keep my figures in shoeboxes, or cardboard boxes having never spent the money to buy army transport bags. I haven't had any problems with those, except for a nurgle sorcerer marine who's spear snapped. So I would think they should handle just as easy.

There's picture on profile cards.

@ Chinkster : I have used for several years the resin model and I have no major problems. I play at least 2 times a month, and I have participated in 40 tournaments. My models are in good condition. If you make them fall, usually, just a glue point and the problem is solved.

They'll go great with my Khthon snakes! Really looking forward to this one.

Mechanical snakes are pretty neat too.

Clockwork snakes are hard to pass on, but it's a bit more cash than I can spend currently.

I had hoped the snakes would've been on bigger bases- at least 40mm. Seems kind of squished sitting on a 20/25mm one.

Maybe I'm just spoiled with all the huge snakemen I've gotten from other companies.

I wanted to try this game a while ago. I'm not sure the two new factions are as well sculpted as the older three. The exclusive mini looks good though.

I don't think the sculpts are a downgrade, but I think the Kraken studio painter honored the sculpts. Could see the paintjobs didn't quite do the sculpts justice after Studio 38 took over either.

Backing this one at the Alchemist pledge level as I'm hopeful that this might be a great first step to bringing resurrect this game outside of France.

Yet another game I've been considering buying into because of that bloody Minus.

One of the things holding me back, apart from pennies, is a lack of scale comparison pictures. Has anyone got a picture of a regular sized Alkemy human with some regular sized humans from other ranges?

Chronicles of Mornea
The chronicles are an organized game on Alkemy forum since 2010. It start at the beginning of September and last at the end of May. The players play at home, in their club, in their store, where they want, and post the results on Alkemy forum. The result of each player influences 2 levels, individually because each month the 2 best players of the month qualify for the final, and in team because the score of each player is counted within a group or a faction, according to the theme of the chronicles.

In September, there are 3 scenarios to choose, and each month, a new scenario is added, thus giving a diversity to the players. Players can download a challenge sheet with plenty of possible options, which allows them to score, and they can replay throughout the month to improve their score. It is this score that is posted on Alkemy forum, and the best score is retained for each player.

This year, an additional novelty, a new profile is unlocked at the end of each month, depending on the results of the players. Players indicate the faction they played when they post their result, and the faction that scored the most point at the end of the month unlocks a new profile for its faction or sub-faction. These new profiles will be future releases. Thus, it is the players who participate in the program of releases.

There is no obligation, you can join the chronicles at any time, play from time to time, not necessarily every month, the system is free. Finally, at the end of each month, a random draw is made among the players of the month and 4 players win each month vouchers on Alkemy webstore.

Join the chronicles on the Alkemy forum!

Interesting stuff! I'd like to get some Alkemy at some point! There does seem to be a bit of shift in the sculpting from the old stuff to the new though.... Not sure how I feel about it - a bit less "crisp" if that makes sense. The snake dude is a great take on that trope, and I like those Auroks quite a bit too.
