Nice work here!
Any plans for female goblins? I've heard a few other places say they would consider it but a lot of places that do them end up making a tiny lump of boobs and hair and teeth. Would love to see your take

I definitely have plans for female goblins, my current priority is expanding my celts and dark ages range though, so may be a while. I also have a top secret side project which is eating my money. That should be unveiled at Salute.

NEW RELEASE 18/11/15

Cartimandua, Queen of the Brigantes!

Available in a pack of two versions - Celtic Gear and Roman Gear.

You can use her for either side in Ancients, or pop her into fantasy (as I've seen people doing with my shieldmaidens) in something like Frostgrave.

She's painted and sculpted by John Morris/Mystic Spirals.

and the Boudicca's are back in stock (also John Morris) - in metal! (All my figures are metal now)

Holy cow, these are awesome! I love the one in armor that doesn't have a DD breastplate. And the Celtic heroes is very nice ! Just an idea, but maybe do up a Celtic chariot for them?

Sorry to say, your bags are way too expensive. mean to say, i understand they are "handmade", but i sent you a rather simple idea for a bag, and i was quite shocked at the price. Neverminding postage, as i'm in the states.
They do look nice, tho.

That must have been quite some time ago. I am no longer (for the forseeable future, hopefully not forever) making dice bags, as making them day and night actually caused me a few injuries around my wrists, which makes any task like that impossible due to considerable pain. I always had a long waiting list of people keen for bags, despite them being a premium product. Considering they've possibly knackered my wrists forever, I'd say they were underpriced!

NEW RELEASES!

The latest in "Believable Female Miniatures" is here!

"Mary is a lady of few words. By lady, I mean "Lady". Rumour has it she is of noble blood, there are all sorts of threads around her history which point in a certain way, but have never been confirmed. She never discusses it, but perhaps that is because Mary is Queen of one thing – disguise. Some naysayers remark she is no more than a peasant, self taught in weaponry as well as the social airs and graces.

Despite all this, she has led many a successful military campaign, so fans and cynics alike leave her to it, after all, who knows which barbaric rule they'd have fallen under if it were not for her.

Sculpted by Mark Evans, Mary can be used for a mixture of genres, from dungeon explorer, to mass battle fantasy gaming, and of course, Wars of the Roses and other Medieval. Margaret of Anjou's personal bodyguard in an alternative history?

Painted example by the wonderful Paul Cubbin!"

Also now available are some female heads, sculpted to fit Gripping Beast, Perry, Fireforge and most plastic kits. Examples to come!

Also sculpted by Mark Evans and painted by Paul Cubbin.

And THAT'S how an armored lady would look. No enormous energy trap right over the heart just so her breastplate can have breasts on it...

Excellent job!

Big fan of this, despite a lot of the fantasy style minis not being something I'd go for as I don't play anything compatible.

A while back I was looking for some decent Escher proxy minis for Necromunda and ended up scouring all sorts of sites for decent female minis - this is brilliant stuff

Absolutely lovely. And while the axehead is a trifle large, it's not the grotesquely oversized thing you see on so many minis nowadays.

I've got one new female orc for you, but also another two you probably haven't seen as I didn't do a big song and dance (I was waiting for the painted images, my own ink jobs never do justice!)

Myself & sculptor Phil Hynes have worked together to make strong female orcs that are simply “cool” , not gross or comedy (a common pitfall for many non human or larger size miniatures

All sculpted by Phil Hynes, painted by Paul Cubbin.

So here is Rae, the archer

Gret, Berserker!

Squee, thief

and in case you've never seen them, they join Mog, the fighter

and Bloom, the mage

Made the step into WW2. This is the start of a big thing. My whole minis range (bar the odd fantasy dip) is going to be very historical based, as that is where my interests lie.

A million women served in the Soviet Army in WW2, now you finally have the figures to represent them on the tabletop, or perhaps as a part of a diorama.

Nice, Soviet women have been sorely underrepresented in model form, especially medics and signal women.

A shame the signal and riflewomen are in summer kit, I'd only really be able to use the snipers. They're looking like really nice sculpts.

I'm sure if the summer ones sell, winter soviets might follow. I like these sculpts, a bit of character and look as if they will be quick to paint up. Plus anything I have bought from Bad Squiddo has been well cast and the service is super quick.

I play winter soviets too so I am mega torn - hold out for mmg crew and do a whole female summer platoon - or get a few to mix in with my winter guys and hope no one notices the uniform. They are too good to just skip and move on. I already have the first batch of shieldmaidens and they are gorgeous.

Thanks for that

I was kinda holding off mentioning winter uniforms as I obviously want people buy this wave and not "oh I'll wait for winter", but yes I will be releasing a winter range too. Basically the more that sells the more I make. Bills and living expenses aside, pretty much everything goes straight back into the business (like most small businesses really!) so I will be growing it as fast as I can. I've been chatting to the sculptor about the next plans, they won't be winter immediately as I want to expand this lot out first with further troop types, but they will be coming. So I guess it's more, if you want winter, don't wait around for it, buy some of these, and then buy the winter when they're out. Maybe...at winter

The reception has been insanely good, far more than I could imagine, and thanks everyone who has pre ordered so far. Really enthused to go for more and more.

--------------------

I've just uploaded a short video, mostly to get my Youtube going again for more exciting things later.

By pre ordering, you get a FREE Soviet Baggy badge. Might not sound like much, but it will be exclusive* to these pre orders.

The more pre orders that come in, the more chance I have of increasing this - so for example I may add in a bottle opener keyring (these are ace), or more badges. I should finally have a chance to carry on with my new designs over the weekend, it's just been non stop!

And the "Baggy Credits" is another incentive to pre ordering anything else from my shop to pick up at Salute, and yep they stack
http://thedicebaglady.net/2016/03/08/salute-2016-pre-orders/

*I'll have to make the call on how many to order soon, so if I end up with extra, they will be first come first served at Salute with soviet purchases!

Also, you may pick up a mini from me from a range you haven't seen before and think "hot damn this is a nice model, I wonder what else they do" to realise they are in fact here too, then you can pootle over there and give them more money.

Ristul's has some AMAZING treasure, which is certain to sell out (it has at every show so far!) as well as other brilliant (and cute!) scatter terrain.

There will also be TOP SECRET SURPRISE brand new miniatures from me on the day, very limited amounts so come on over!

Dice bags..... unfortunately due to my wrists still being awful there won't be any dice bags. BUT! There is a slight chance I will painkiller up, power through and make some squiddo dice bags, no guarantee though!

------------------------

Thanks everyone who has made the last year insanely special, I wouldn't have imagined having this much for Salute 2016!

If you can, come on over, even if you think "bah there's nothing for me here", I am sure I can find something for you, your partner, your children, Uncle John and even Ted down the club who hasn't bought anything new since 1986. failing that, you can just remark "damn what a lovely looking stall"

As soon as I'm back and have sat in a dark, quiet room for the day after Salute, most of that cash is getting thrown at MORE MORE MORE WW2 FEMALE FIGURES, hence pushing this as hard as I can

Any questions send me a message via here http://thedicebaglady.net/contact/

and here is the pre order Salute information page again http://thedicebaglady.net/2016/03/08/salute-2016-pre-orders/

Nice to hear that winter will follow eventually. I'm sure I can use the snipers now and may get the command set just because, but its good to hear winter kit will be coming, even if its just down the road.

Will the winter kit be purely "professional" soldiers or will it include militia like what you might have expected to see around Moscow?

Basically, so long as they keep selling - I'll keep making them! I have an ever growing list of female WW2 figures I want to make. I'm really passionate about it, and they're currently selling well, so long may it continue! And outside of the Soviet Union too, I have all sorts of plans. So Greatcoat wearing troops, but I also have plans for civillians, militia, partizan and all the like.

Female Soviets are a great idea. IIRC Wargames Factory includes 2 per sprue in their kits, as is there that odd sniper in metal, but that's about it. Hmn, I have been wanting a mini of Katyusha from the Über series now that you mention it...

How do you feel about doing some non-combat roles, especially maintenance crews? There are a number of alternatives for female infantry, but I can't find any female minis of this kind, at least not in 28mm scale.
